It’s generally agreed that journalists, while they can hold their own opinions, should generally try to remain objective in their coverage of the nation and its events. But FOX News’ “reporters” and “journalists” don’t even pretend to maintain any objectivity, openly wearing their right-wing ideology on their sleeve — often with absurd results.
FOX’s Pentagon reporter Lucas Tomlinson caused a stir on social media this afternoon when he tweeted out a comparison between the length of the Bible and the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill that the Democrats are currently trying to push through Congress against the will of the conservative members of their own party.
The Bible is 1,200 pages.
The $3.5 trillion bill is 2,400 pages.

It’s hard to figure out what he’s trying to say here. The two things are entirely unrelated; it’s like saying that War and Peace is longer than the operating manual for a universal remote. One of the texts is a collection of ancient religious stories and the other is a spending appropriations bill for a country of 300 million people, of course, one is longer than the other. By choosing the Bible, of all books, Tomlinson is obviously making some kind of judgment about the Democratic bill, probably implying that it’s too long because it’s full of things that Jesus would approve of, like money to care for the sick.
Social media quickly unloaded with a barrage of well-deserved mockery:

I remember when Jesus said "no books are allowed to be longer than the bible"

The owners manual for a 2018 Toyota Camry is 612 pages and so is, therefore, better than the Bible.

The Constitution is less than 100 pages but you guys never seem to read as far as the part about separation of church and state.
