Graham busted for freeloading off of Trump at Mar-a-Lago

You may have thought that by now all the juicy morsels from former White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham’s new tell-all book “I’ll Take Your Questions Now — What I Saw at the Trump White House” had already been leaked in advance of its publication date tomorrow.

Yet, still more anecdotes are filtering out as part of the publicity push for the revealing new tome.

Today, the story that has begun to circulate concerns Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) whom Grisham labels as “Senator Freeloader” for his habit of reveling in the free food, drink and rounds of golf he enjoyed free of any expenditure on his own part due to hanging around Donald Trump and acting like a sycophantic courtier.

Grisham calls the South Carolina Republican senator one of the “weirder” satellites in the Trump orbit.

“He seemed almost schizophrenic,” the former chief of staff for Melania Trump writes. “Some days he would be one of Trump’s most vigorous defenders; other days he was a harsh critic.”

Trump somehow enjoyed having Graham around despite being warned by staffers that the right-wing senator might not be as sincere in his solicitousness as he appeared.

Grisham describes Graham’s determination to luxuriate in the perks that came from hanging around with the president of the United States.

“And Lindsey Graham? Well, it struck me he was using Trump to mop up the freebies like there was no tomorrow (seems that he still is),” the former press secretary explains. “He would show up at Mar-a-Lago or Bedminster to play free rounds of golf, stuff his face with free food and hang out with Trump and his celebrity pals.”

According to Grisham, the South Carolina senator even forced a White House staffer to give up her room at Trump’s Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort so he could have a room for the night close to the former president.

“Senator Freeloader was sitting at a table by the pool, a big grin on his face, lapping up the goodies he was getting like some potentate,” Grisham describes Graham’s luxuriating behavior. “He said to me with a creepy little smile, ‘Isn’t this great? Man, this is the life.'”

No wonder that Graham continues to support Trump and hopes for his return to the White House.
