Marjorie Taylor Greene slammed as seditious traitor over stunning tweet about “national divorce”
At what point does political advocacy transform into outright sedition?
That’s the question being raised after controversial Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted a Twitter poll that intimated support for a question that has been considered unthinkable since the end of the Civil War nearly 150 years ago.

It’s a question that many people would consider a complete violation of Congresswoman Greene’s oath of office which clearly states that “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”
Given that the Georgia lawmaker — often called the “Queen of Q” for her conspiracy theory-driven tirades — regularly engages in divisive right-wing partisan rhetoric that serves to raise the political heat to titanium-melting temperatures, there is little doubt as to which reply in her scientifically dubious survey she would be checking off.
Unsurprisingly, given her sizable following among the MAGA crowds of Trump supporters, the idea of secession along political party lines was in the lead among her respondents at the time this article was being written.
While the poll results suggested that most of those who answered the question were either fellow GOP deplorables or progressives eager to rid the country of its most backward citizens and the drain they put on the federal coffers, the comments section to this particular tweet was primarily filled with condemnation of the seditious intent behind Representative Greene’s query.
It would be sad to see Red states try to fund themselves without federal help.. especially in times of disaster.

Very cool and normal shit for a sitting member of Congress to tweet. I cannot fucking believe this imbecile is a member of the House of Representatives. https://t.co/B6pWfyM7S8

No one in her party will hold her accountable!

Guessing civics, economics & history weren't her strong subjects. Also wondering why no one gave her the Cliff's Notes to the Constitution.

So a sitting member of Congress is encouraging sedition…. You are completely unqualified to be in Congress and are violating your oath to uphold the Constitution. If @GOPLeader won't discipline you, @SpeakerPelosi should. I'm sick of you & your ignorant behavior. #ResignMTG pic.twitter.com/4GCC2FYm2o

It is obvious at this point — as it has been since Marjorie Taylor Greene began her term in Congress — that not only is she unqualified for her job, as her removal from her committee assignments already indicates, but she is an actively destructive presence in the federal government.
The 14th Amendment provides all the rationale anyone would need to expel Greene from Congress. It should be invoked immediately after this latest indication of her seditious intent.
