Ocasio-Cortez hits Rep. Gosar where it hurts after his anime video attack

Calls to expel noted white nationalist Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) from Congress have begun to multiply after he tweeted out an anime clip that his staff edited to depict him killed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). It’s the kind of blatantly threatening psychopathic behavior that would get you fired from any normal job but unfortunately exactly the kind of thing we’ve come to expect from Gosar and his far-right ilk. The GOP refuses to hold its own accountable and as a result, the party’s most radical members continue to race straight towards fascism and overt calls for violence.

Gosar responded to the growing controversy around his tweet this morning by trying to downplay the severity of the situation with a meme mocking his critics for being scared of an anime clip with the line “It’s a cartoon. Relax.” His completely unrepentant response demonstrates that he is likely to do something like this again or even something far worse. These monsters never face consequences and so they never learn.

Never one to back down in the face of Republican aggression, AOC ripped into Gosar with her trademark wit and incisiveness with a series of tweets. She called him a “creepy member I work with who fundraises for Neo-Nazis” and said he won’t face consequences for posting his murderous video because House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) “cheers him on with excuses.”

Add your name to demand Trump be forced to testify for January 6th committee!!

The Congresswoman went on to call Gosar “a collection of wet toothpicks anyway” and said his “self concept relies on the myth that he was born superior because deep down he knows he couldn’t open a pickle jar or read a whole book by himself,” she added.

As usual, AOC displayed an ability to cut right to the heart of a political enemy’s personality, zeroing in on exactly what makes them weak. She should be commended for standing up to Gosar and Congress should seriously consider expelling him immediately.
