FOX News gets busted editing clip of Biden to make him look racist
Every time you think the staggering hypocrisy of the right-wing couldn’t get any more unaware or outrageous, they find a way to smash right through the bar. On Thursday night, we were treated to the unbelievable sight of FOX News — yes, the channel that features not one but multiple openly white supremacist hosts — attempting to accuse President Biden of being “racist.”
On Thursday, President Biden referenced a famous Black baseball player, Satchel Paige, and jumbled his words a little referencing the blacks-only Negro League (which, you know, is what it was called).
“I’ve adopted the attitude of the great Negro — at the time, pitcher in the Negro Leagues — went on to become a great pitcher in the pros — in the Major League Baseball after Jackie Robinson. His name was Satchel Paige.”
A slight speech mishap, perhaps related to the President’s stutter, obviously not said in any kind of malicious way.
But FOX News went wild with it, not only accusing the president of racism but deceptively editing the clip they showed to remove even more context from the moment:
Then this morning Fox & Friends opted for full-frontal dishonesty, deceptively editing Biden's remarks to exclude his mention of the negro leagues and make what he said seem racially insensitive. Shameless lying. pic.twitter.com/dbbTtPhFnR

It is a breathtakingly flagrant violation of every basic journalist ethic to edit a video like this, literally fake news, and it once again calls into question just why the FOX News network is allowed to promote not just hate speech, white supremacist propaganda, and anti-vax conspiracy theories but also to just…lie to the nation about the events that transpire in Washington.
