It’s becoming increasingly clear that one of the biggest problems in the very, very, very long list of What’s Wrong With This Country is the click-driven ratings-obsessed for-profit media model that has taken over every newsroom and every studio. The critical issues are constantly ignored in favor of fluff pieces and fanning the flames of public controversy, no matter how stupid or asinine the actual “news” itself might be.
This was very obvious on Tuesday morning, when the crack reporters over at POLITICO published a piece about how Vice-President Kamala Harris prefers wired earphones to Bluetooth ones because she believes they are a security risk.
NEW: Kamala Harris has long felt that Bluetooth headphones are a security risk.
So, she insists on using wired ones, 3 fmr campaign aides told @rubycramer and me.
That Bluetooth phobia remains (if you look closely, you'll see the clump of wires in hand)https://t.co/9poyMTQrU2 pic.twitter.com/HtscTWm1sF

The press has been all over the Vice-President in recent weeks, desperately trying to stir up some kind of rivalry between Harris and potential 2024 election challenger Pete Buttigieg and floating stories about dysfunction and conflict within the Vice-President’s office — stories clearly aiming to bait in right-wing readers, who despise Kamala Harris for being a liberal woman from California and who is now apparently the sole person responsible for the imaginary migrant crisis unfolding at the border.
Now they’re trying to paint her as some kind of conspiracy theorist or peculiar obsessive when the fact of the matter is, Bluetooth earphones are a security risk and the VP should not be using them, and also who cares?!
Social media let POLITICO have it for their sad attempt at a hit piece:
Trump used his personal cell phone as president despite it being an explicit security risk, but of course POLITICO is out criticizing VP Harris for taking security precautions and avoiding Bluetooth.

The Kamala Harris “Bluetooth scandal” is just further evidence that it was never “but her emails,” it was always “but they’re females.”

I don’t understand this “story”
1. She is correct. Bluetooth is not exactly a fortress of security
2. Who could work up the energy to even pretend to care pic.twitter.com/QC4qkdFjv1

What a surprise that the folks who were obsessed with the national security implications of Hillary Clinton's email server are now pushing that VP Kamala Harris is being "paranoid" for declining to use Bluetooth tech because of its security vulnerabilities.
How very surprising.
