Undercover journalist Lauren Windsor has struck again, convincing Trump’s former Acting Attorney General to spill the beans that his former boss’ election fraud claims are all “mumbo jumbo gunk.”
From the moment Windsor approached former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, praising his time as AG, he was disarmed and ready to engage. Convincing and in character, Windsor didn’t waste time before accusing former Attorney General Bill Barr of treason for not doing more to help Trump. If you can remember Barr contradicted Trump’s claims of election fraud. Maintaining that the DOJ found no evidence. Soon after, Barr announced he was stepping down as AG. He left his position exactly two weeks before January 6th. Day of the insurrection.
Her use of the word treason made Whitaker audibly nervous, and he had this to say:
I think that’s a big word to throw around. I just, I think calling an American, that’s you know, got a lot of considerations. I would. I would worry about about throwing around the weight of the word.
As the interview continues, so does Windsor. Though cautiously. He is slow and deliberate. After all, saying the wrong thing could get him banished from MAGAland.
But you can tell that his patience is wearing thin. When Windsor questions Whitaker about the potential of a nationwide audit. And again uses the ‘T’-word, but this time referring to Vice President Mike Pence, obvious that Whitaker is done. Challenging Windsor to use her thinking skill before ending with this:
Until somebody gives me the evidence and not a thumb drive with a bunch of ‘mumbo jumbo’ gunk on it. But real evidence that can be used to prosecute.
Then he stuttered, mentioned the rule of law, and the interview was over.
With Bill Barr’s book coming out, I imagine we will surely see more Republicans confirming what the majority of us, and Matt Whitaker, already knew. That the Big Lie was indeed, just that.
