CONSPIRATOR: Ted Cruz’s efforts to overturn 2020 election results bigger than previously reported
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is no stranger to debasing himself for Donald Trump. During the 2016 election, he infamously phone-banked for the twice-impeached insurrection enthusiast after Trump insulted his wife and claimed that Cruz’s father was involved in JFK’s assassination. The pathetic political groveling displayed by Cruz was forever immortalized in a widely mocked photograph that must make Mrs. Cruz wish she was married to someone like Will Smith.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson further humiliated Cruz after an appearance on his show in which the senator from Texas used the word “terrorist” to describe the January 6th attack on the Capitol. Instead of being offended by the rioters who smeared feces all over the Capitol while chanting “hang Mike Pence,” Carlson objected to Cruz’s criticism of the riot and questioned his motivations.
“You told that lie on purpose, and I’m wondering why you did,” Carlson said.
It should surprise no one that Cruz walked back his previous phrasing as “sloppy” and “frankly dumb.”
New revelations now expose Cruz as a conspirator in plans to overturn the 2020 election results, with him “working directly with Trump to concoct a plan that came closer than widely realized to keeping him in power.”
According to a report just published by The Washington Post, Trump made an “urgent call” to Cruz after news outlets called the election for Joe Biden and asked him if he would be willing to argue his case at the Supreme Court, which Cruz agreed to do.
During his scheming to overturn legitimate election results, Cruz worked with John Eastman — the chairman of the national anti-LGBTQ organization the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) — who is currently facing an ethics investigation from the California State Bar Association.
Eastman helped detail how Vice President Mike Pence could stop the certification of Biden’s election while Cruz focused on a plan involving the Senate. objecting to the results in six swing states and moving forward with a 10-day audit as a means to delay accepting electoral college results.
The House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack is looking into Cruz’s relationship with Eastman, who pleaded the fifth when asked by an attorney for the committee if he had “any communication with Senator Ted Cruz regarding efforts to change the outcome of the 2020 election.”
Usually known for having a smart mouth, Cruz opted to instead respond to inquiries through a spokesperson. “To the best of his recollection, he did not read the Eastman memo until months after January 6, when it was publicly reported.” He also canceled an interview previously scheduled with The Washington Post.
It appears there are no limits to how low Cruz will go for political gain. He will allow his wife to be insulted and his father to be accused of falsehoods. He will discard whatever values or morals he may have if they are politically inconvenient. He is even willing to take a sledgehammer to the constitution and our democratic process in order to be in the good graces of a disgraced and corrupt reality tv star.
