That’s why the moment has arrived for Merrick Garland to finally indict Donald Trump and put him on trial.
I understand that justice takes time, but many disastrous things can happen to our country until the disgraced ex-president meets his fate behind bars.
The January 6th committee has gathered very much of the factual evidence prosecutors need, which the public knows about already, and I personally believe that there is a lot of evidence not yet in the public’s eye, some of which can be used to indict former President Trump.
We recently found out there was a 7-hour 37-minute gap in the log of Donald Trump’s calls in the White House on January 6. Whoever ordered those logs to be purged knew what they were doing was wrong. Because if they didn’t, they would not have hidden the evidence of who Trump was calling and what the conversations would be about. The Times recently reported:
“The 11 pages of records, which consist of the president’s official daily diary and the White House switchboard call logs, were turned over by the National Archives earlier this year to the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack.”
Our democracy continues to be on life support Merrick Garland, and we need accountability ASAP before things get worse.
Trump continues to incite hate, violence, and division in his rallies, media posts by his people that continue to spread the big lie and hope it will inspire another attempted coup to reclaim the White House.
Trump is going too far lengths to call for Putin to release dirt on President Biden’s son, Hunter.
How dangerous is he, given the fact that Russia is at war with Ukraine, a key regional strategic partner of the United States, and he’s busy asking the fascist Russian dictator for political favors.
We, the people, are giving the Ukrainian people aid to defend their homeland, and President Biden has placed crippling sanctions on Russia. Only a traitor would make a reckless move like that.
I’m trying my best to have faith in the institutions, but it seems like the prospect of justice is fading away with how much the Republican Party continues to get away with.
Donald J. Trump must be held accountable now before it’s too late.
Ben Franklin said our constitution created a Republic “if we can keep it.”
It is up to Merrick Garland to stand up on behalf of justice, on behalf of the Republic, and to indict Donald Trump to bring a just prosecution against the fascist who tried to topple its democratically elected leadership at the hands of a brainwashed mob of MAGA zombies.
