Even though Donald Trump has been banned from Twitter, his posts on his own social media platform, TruthSocial, keep getting reposted on the platform that has “permanently” prohibited his participation. While Elon Musk has vowed to reinstate Trump if his deal to purchase Twitter and take it private actually comes to fruition, Trump’s hateful ideology is still being spread on the much larger platform.
One “ReTruth” — as TruthSocial labels its retweet feature — that Trump forwarded on his platform was shared on Twitter by one of the disgraced ex-president’s MAGA followers and has caused an uproar among many of the platform’s users because of its seeming endorsement of the concept of a second civil war in our nation.
The appearance of the TruthSocial post on Twitter shows how difficult it has been for the platform to enforce its ban on Trump’s presence in their feed.
Earlier this week, Twitter attempted to shut down an account that was dedicated exclusively to reposting all of Trump’s TruthSocial utterances. Labeled “Donald J Trump’s Truth Social Posts” from the account @PresTrumpTS, Twitter suspended the account after only a few days.
Yet this morning, there were at least two practically identical accounts attempting to replicate exactly what @PresTrumpTS had been suspended for posting: “Trump Tweets from Truth Social” from @TrumpTruthSoc and “Trump Truth Social Posts” from @Trumptruthposte.
Hopefully, Twitter management will follow suit and remove these rogue accounts posthaste, but let’s focus on the more important issue at hand: the former president of the United States is promoting what appears to be a call for civil war in the nation he once led.
Outraged Twitter users registered their disbelief that such content was allowed to circulate on the platform.
Isn’t it illegal to plan a war against our country to overthrow the government?

One person even brought his concern about the repost of Trump’s “ReTruth” directly to the man who may soon be calling the shots at Twitter, Elon Musk.

The dangerousness of Donald Trump’s rhetoric is exactly why he was banned from Twitter after the January 6th insurrection that he wanted to succeed so desperately in order to reverse the legitimate outcome of the 2020 presidential election that he lost in a landslide.
Twitter must close these backdoor entryways to its platform and keep Donald Trump’s hateful ideology out of widespread circulation s it promised its users last year.
