LOSING AGAIN: Trump dealt another DEVASTATING blow in NY AG Letitia James's civil investigation

Trump has failed again. On Friday, District Court Judge Brenda Sannes dismissed the twice-impeached grifter’s suit against New York State Attorney General Letitia James and denied Trump’s motion for a preliminary injunction.

In response to Trump’s assertion that the former President is “entitled to the protection of federal courts,” Judge Sannes cites Trump’s own GOP-packed Supreme Court in her 43-page decision:

“The Supreme Court held that the President is ‘neither absolutely immune from state criminal subpoenas seeking his private papers, nor entitled to a heightened state of need.'”

In layman’s terms, the judge’s opinion restates the obvious principle that no one is above the law. However, that didn’t stop his attorneys from trying.

Trump’s legal team sought an injunction to prevent James from continuing the case – claiming that it violates the rights of Trump and the Trump Organization. How were their rights violated exactly? Well, according to the complaint – James is “an outspoken political activist and member of the Democratic party.”

“Before becoming Attorney General of New York, Defendant served as a ‘Democratic member of the New York City Council and New York City Public Advocate for over a decade,'” Trump’s attorneys claimed.

Since James announced her run for Attorney General in 2018, she was very vocal about her intentions to hold Donald Trump and his company accountable. Meanwhile, Trump has accused James of being “biased” against him, and that her claims of corruption and grift against him are “baseless.” He posted a tweet in December 2018 from his now-permanently banned Twitter account that was quoted in the Washington Post:

“…In any event, it goes on and on & the new AG, who is now being replaced by yet another AG (who openly campaigned on a GET TRUMP agenda), does little else but rant, rave & politic against me. Will never be treated fairly by these people – a total double standard of ‘justice.’”

The multiple lawsuits against the disgraced former president say otherwise. The Washington Post reported over 200 lawsuits in the state of New York alone in 2018, the same year Trump was forced to shutter his charity after the current New York Attorney General filed a lawsuit accusing Trump of using the non-profit for personal and political gain.

Judge Sannes’s dismissal comes on the heels of another loss for Trump. A Supreme Court of New York’s four-judge panel ordered the lawsuit magnate, and his partner in grift – daughter, Ivanka – to testify under oath in the New York Attorney General’s investigation into the Trump Organization’s shady business practices, just a day before, upholding a February ruling that failed to throw out subpoenas.

Add the $110,000 fine levied on Trump for contempt, and his losses continue to mount. His baseless claims of being persecuted by a biased and partisan Attorney General is an exercise in futility. Tish James isn’t buying it, the judges aren’t buying it, and neither is the public. Everyone agrees that you don’t get to skirt legal accountability and civil responsibility simply because you think the prosecutor was “mean” to you.
