NOT SO FAST: Alex Jones faces another major defeat in Sandy Hook case
Alex Jones is at it again. And the courts have ruled against him…again. This time the courts are allowing a suit against the conspiracy theorist to proceed after Jones was sued by the survivors and families of the Sandy Hook massacre.

On December 14th, 2012, twenty students and six educators were gunned down in a mass shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Shortly afterward, Jones perpetuated a false narrative in his right-wing propaganda broadcasts that led to death threats for the families. As far back as 2018, those suing Jones, through their attorney Josh Kosoff, said:
“He knew his claims were false but he made them anyway to further a simple but pathetic goal: to make money by tearing away at the families’ pain. This lawsuit seeks to hold Alex Jones and his financial network accountable for those disgraceful action.”
But Jones’ words and conspiracy allegations would come back to haunt and bite him as a Texas judge held Jones accountable. The judge dismissed Jone’s attempts to escape accountability for his lies by filing bankruptcy for both himself personally and for his companies.
The Associated Press reported:
“The judge’s action allows the parents’ defamation lawsuits against Jones to continue in Texas and Connecticut, where trials are pending on how much he should pay families after judges in both states found Jones and his companies liable for damages. The families’ lawsuits say they have been subjected to harassment and death threats from Jones’ followers because of the hoax conspiracy. Jones, based in Austin, Texas, has since said he believes the shooting did occur.”
Jone’s companies InfoW LLC, Prison Planet TV, and IW Health had sought governmental protection through bankruptcy but were successfully challenged by the Justice Department. Unfortunately, Jones’ abuse of the Sandy Hook victims’ families and the harm caused to them will always remain.
Jones’s advocacy for the conspiracy theory that the massacre of innocent children was a “false flag” and an attack on second amendment rights was just taken to task, debunked, and dismissed for being the crackpot fabulism that it was, and is. The man who obviously spent too much of his life imitating Sam Kinnison’s rage-filled screams is finally going to be held accountable — at least financially — for his damaging lies.
