MELTDOWN: Trump releases 12-page rambling rant after second day of Jan. 6th hearing testimony

Triggered by a day of bombshell testimony from January 6th Committee witnesses, Donald Trump had a full meltdown yesterday. After day two proved that Trump, and those around him, were aware that he had lost the 2020 election, he released a rambling 12-page manifesto on Truth Social, his own social media platform, lashing out at the investigators and calling the select committee’s investigation a “sham” and “treasonous.”

“Does anybody notice that the Unselect Committee refuses to discuss of debate, in any way, share, or form, the many irrefutable types of Election Fraud and Irregularities found in the 2020 Election? This is Cancel Culture because they know that they have zero chance of winning that debate. So sad to see our Country falling apart!” Trump said in his post.

NBC Universal‘s Mike Sington tweeted:

The unhinged tirade was a replay of Trump’s baseless, and debunked stolen election claims. Accusations of ballot trafficking read like a print version of the big lie conspiracy pushing film, 2000 Mules.

“Highly respected True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips showed the nation exactly what the Democrats’ illegal ballot trafficking scheme looks like. They spent years investigating election crimes, and their hard work provided America with the indisputable proof so many had been waiting for. True the Vote cooperated with Dinesh D’Souza to produce the blockbuster documentary 2000 Mules, which provides video evidence of the ballot trafficking scheme Democrats have created,” Trump, or one of his aides at least, wrote.

The claims in 2000 Mules have not only been criticized by those on both sides of the aisle but its claims are unsubstantiated and debunked. The so-called data “collected” by True to Vote failed to prove their accusations, and recently it was reported that one of the maps used wasn’t one of Atlanta, GA – or even in the U.S. for that matter, but was instead a map of Moscow. Not only were the claims in 2000 Mules too out there for Fox News and OAN to promote, but previous supporters of True the Vote’s Catherine Engelbrecht also have – according to REVEAL – accused her of grifting donors. Conservative political journalist John Fund has criticized Englebrecht’s current turn.

Brendan Fischer on Twitter:

For someone not known to take criticism well, watching his inner circle turn on him must be especially infuriating for a vengeful failed businessman like Trump. First, his heir apparent, Ivanka, said she believed Bill Barr. Barr said that Trump’s claims the election was stolen were “bullshit.” And his Election Defense Fund scam has been added to his long list of MAGA grifts. Reality is coming hard and fast. By continuing to assert proven falsehoods in the face of facts, the public is seeing him unravel more and more every day. As for calls for a “real” investigation, he’s free to testify anytime. Unlike Mitch McConnell on January 6th, I’m sure Liz Cheney (R-WY) will gladly return his calls.
