OWNED: Marjorie Taylor Greene targets Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter and immediately regrets it
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) just gave Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) the Twitter slap-down she deserves. After Greene tried – and failed – to equate AOC’s speech to pro-choice protesters outside of the Supreme Court to an insurrection. The new York Congresswoman not so kindly reminded the pardon-seeking member of the Sedition Caucus what an “actual” insurrection is. And not so vaguely labeling Greene as “heinous” in the process.
I will explain this to you slowly: exercising our right to protest is not obstruction of Congress nor an attempt to overturn democracy.
If one were a heinous enough person to do that, they’d likely seek a pardon for it too.
But only one of us here has done that. And it ain’t me pic.twitter.com/o4889FBFyF

The loud-mouthed representative who gave us space lasers, “peach tree dishes”, and “gazpacho police” may want to sit this one out, particularly in light of testimony in the latest televised hearings from the House Select Committee on January 6th that revealed Greene as one of seven House Republicans who sought pardons before Trump left office. The investigation also revealed text messages that were exchanged between Greene and then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows on insurrection day.
While voters in Greene’s district filed a lawsuit to ban her from seeking re-election for her role in the January 6th Capitol riot – a role that Greene sought a pardon for – AOC led a call and response with pro-choice protesters of “Illegitimate!” and “Into the streets!” The acts of attempting to overthrow the government and exercising your First Amendment right aren’t the same, Marge.
The Bronx, NY Congresswoman hasn’t been shy about her feelings regarding the Supreme Court ruling. Ocasio-Cortez called out Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AL), Susan Collins (R-ME), and Joe Manchin (D-WV) — whose votes put Trump’s less than-qualified nominees on the court — asking for their reactions to the ruling that set women’s rights back over 50 years.
We should hear from Senators Murkowski, Collins, and Manchin if they believe there should be any consequences at all for misleading members of the US Senate in order to secure a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land.
Otherwise Roe’s undoing is their legacy too.

In March AOC put Marge in her place (again), related to Greene’s purchase of stock in defense contractor Lockheed Martin a day before tweeting about it. Banning members of Congress from trading stocks has been a hotly debated topic pushed by Progressives in the House and Senate.
In related news, we’ve heard that we’re soon getting a hearing date on banning members of Congress from trading individual stock while in office.
There’s still a lot of resistance in Congress, though. Keep pushing. Because lots of ppl are really trying to protect this behavior⬇️ https://t.co/CGvwV4eZmi

And in September 2020, five months before Greene would be permanently banned from Twitter, she swung – and missed – an attempt to criticize Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s intellect. Saying, “she has single handily put an end to all ‘dumb blonde’ jokes”, and that “Blondes everywhere appreciate your service and your sacrifice.” Of course, Ocasio-Cortez wasted no time in responding to Greene’s less than funny attempt to take a dig.
Don’t worry Mrs. Greene, I completely understand why you need to swing + miss at my intellect to make yourself feel better.
You seem to have some trouble spelling your own insults correctly.
Next time try “single-handedly,” it’ll work better.
Good luck writing legislation! https://t.co/y33JXVfxDc

Oooh, sick burn!
After getting owned by AOC for nearly two years, you’d think Marge would know better. But then again, coming from a woman who believes Donald Trump was the best President ever and that the 2020 presidential election was stolen, it’s not a surprise that she doesn’t.
