UN-TRUTHS: Disgruntled ex-president lashes out at FBI for doing its job
Ex-President Donald Trump spent early Thursday morning ranting on Truth Social about his “mistreatment” by the U.S. government after being found in possession of top secret documents not turned over to the National Archives. (video below)
The twice impeached former commander-in-chief continues to criticize the FBI and Department of Justice for their legally executed warrant at his Mar-a-Lago estate on August 8th on his own social platform after being banned permanently from Twitter and for at least two years on Facebook.
None of the below claims by the ex-president should be construed as being factual, especially after his 30,000+ documented lies of office.
Trump proclaimed his “innocence” and falsely accused Democrats of violating the Presidential Records Act.
“Even though I am as innocent as a person can be, and despite MY campaign being spied on by the Radical Left, the FISA COURT being lied to and defrauded, all of the many Hoaxes and Scams that were illegally placed on me by very sick & demented people, and without even mentioning the many crimes of Joe and Hunter Biden, all revealed in great detail in the Laptop From Hell, it looks more and more like the Fake News Media is pushing hard for the Sleaze to do something that should not be done!”
The GOP narrative has included unsubstantiated claims that the Justice Department has been “weaponized” by the Biden administration and calling the search an “attack” on a political opponent – despite Trump having yet to announce another run for office.
President Joe Biden has denied knowing anything about the investigation and resulting warrant.
This didn’t stop Trump from attacking the current President, writing in another post, “Joe Biden said he knew nothing about the Break-In of Mar-a-Lago or, the greatest political attack in the history of the U.S. Does anybody really believe this???” This is nothing new from the manager of Mar-A-Lago, whose persistently false claims of President Obama spying on him led to real investigations with no evidence to back up the claims.
Just 15 minutes later, the temperamental ex-President continued his Truth Social tirade. The FBI’s safecracking unit landed squarely in the crosshairs of the outraged former government employee:
“The Radical Left Democrat prosecutors are illegally trying to circumvent, for purely political gain, the Presidential Record’s Act, under which I have done absolutely nothing wrong.” “It can not be circumvented, for me or any other President. They illegally Raided my home, and took things that should not have been taken. They even broke into my safe, an unthinkable act!”
Since leaving office, the Department of Justice and the National Archives have been in communication with Trump, his attorneys, and aides in an attempt to retrieve the missing records.
A member of the former President’s legal team signed off on an affidavit asserting that all top secret and classified materials had been returned – which was a lie.
Then, Trump’s representative to the National Archives released a damning letter from the government revealing that some of the most sensitive national defense information gathered by the United States was found inside boxes taken to the ex-president’s private club, a security “nightmare.”
Neither the law nor history is on Donald Trump’s side – leaving the tantrum-throwing Florida man yelling at the social media clouds of his fledgling platform, whining, “I did nothing wrong!”
