SO MUCH LOSING: Judge tosses Trump’s baseless lawsuit against Hillary Clinton
Donald Trump’s frivolous lawsuit against the woman who won the popular vote in 2016 and who continues to live in his head rent free, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Convention, and ex-FBI officials, has been tossed by U.S. District Judge Donald Middlebrooks because, like everything to do with Trump, it was illegal.
The longtime judge cited “lack of legal authority” and precedent regarding Trump’s demented claims of deep state persecution and purported “collusion” during the investigation into Russian interference.
“What (Trump’s lawsuit) lacks in substance and legal support it seeks to substitute with length, hyperbole, and the settling of scores and grievances,” Middlebrooks, a Bill Clinton appointee, wrote, according to CNN.
Trump “is not attempting to seek redress for any legal harm,” Middlebrooks said. “(I)nstead, he is seeking to flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him, and this Court is not the appropriate forum.”
Co-defendant and former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta dismissed the seriousness of Trump’s suit, tweeting back in March:

Trump has continuously made claims that his campaign was spied on and there was some vast conspiracy to undermine his presidential bid. A lengthy investigation by special counsel John Durham has produced little more than the guilty plea of low on the totem pole FBI attorney, Kevin Clinesmith, CNN reported.
The $24 million civil suit is just one more in a long line of erroneous litigation initiated by Trump world attorneys— the ones not yet under investigation or pending disbarment or legal sanctions anyway.
Judge Middlebrooks called out Trump’s misguided attempt to use the judicial system to settle old scores. Reuters wrote:
“He is seeking to flaunt a two-hundred-page political manifesto outlining his grievances against those that have opposed him,” Middlebrooks said in his ruling.
What Trump’s lawsuit “lacks in substance and legal support it seeks to substitute with length, hyperbole and the settling of scores,” Middlebrooks wrote, adding that he also reserved jurisdiction “to adjudicate issues pertaining to sanctions,” which affect Trump’s lawyers who filed the case.
Though technically a win for Trump’s nemesis Clinton and others named in the suit, if we’ve learned nothing else, Trump isn’t likely to go quietly.
Alina Habba, one of the former President’s current legal representatives said, Trump, will “immediately move to appeal this decision.” Of course he will.
