UNWANTED GUEST: Tantrum-throwing Trump threatened to squat in White House after election loss
In a move that takes “wearing out your welcome” to new levels, former president Donald Trump reportedly told aides that he wouldn’t leave the White House after losing the presidency to Democratic opponent Joe Biden. According to the new book by The New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, Trump asked everyone around him – even the valet who kept his diet coke flowing – how the outgoing President could stay in power.
In Haberman’s Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and The Breaking of America, the White House correspondent writes that Trump told one aide, “I’m just not going to leave,” and said to another, “We’re never leaving. How can you leave when you won an election.”
In December of 2020, Trump was asked during a press conference if he would leave after Biden’s certification, the ego-driven outgoing president unconvincingly said, “Certainly I will, and you know that.” Except we didn’t, which was reinforced by his follow-up response:
“But I think there will be a lot of things happening between now and the 20th of January. A lot of things. Massive fraud has been found. we’re like a third-world country.”

According to Glamour:
“After more than a month of fighting the results of the election by citing rampant voter fraud without a stitch of evidence, CNN reports Trump told staffers at one point he’d refuse to leave the White House on Inauguration Day, January 20, and had to be ‘walked down from that ledge.’”
“’He’s throwing a fucking temper tantrum,’ one White House staffer said, per CNN. ‘He’s going to leave. He’s just lashing out.’ Even if that’s true, is it any wonder the guy who said he was ‘entitled’ to a third term in office is reportedly having a meltdown over leaving before a second?”
"We're gonna win four more years in the White House, and then we'll negotiate, because based on the way we were treated, we're probably entitled to another four years after that" — Trump, slurring, began his rally in Nevada by teasing that he intends to serve more than two terms pic.twitter.com/dgPjimP7Rv

He plotted a coup, incited a riot, stood by, and did nothing when his Vice President’s life was threatened; illegally took classified documents and foreign nuclear secrets to his Palm Beach home – Trump has told us who he is, shown us who he is, and it’s high time we listen up. His words and behavior since being booted from office leave little doubt that if let anywhere near the People’s House again – he will never leave.
