DRESSING DOWN: You’ll never guess who’s getting censured again

If it looks like a Nazi, talks like a Nazi, it must be Marjorie Taylor Greene

House Democrats are planning to censure Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (Q-Moscow by way of Georgia hill country).

Yes, again.

OPINION: Useful idiot Marjorie Taylor Greene must be expelled from Congress

Marge is in bigly trouble again because she’s been spewing a whole lot of extra hateful antisemitic projection language lately. She went ahead and compared the Biden administration’s efforts to vaccinate Americans against COVID-19 to the Nazis’ subjugation of Jews while also likening President Joe Biden to Hitler.

The proud Christian Nationalist sure has had a lot of garbage takes regarding Jews and space lasers, as you may recall. Even after a guided tour of the Holocaust Museum to show Marjorie the truth about what the Nazis did, she just kept on doing plenty of antisemitisms along with her other -isms and -phobias. Which is why we keep shining a light on her hate.

Censure is a more severe formal rebuke than reprimanding but doesn’t go as far as expelling a lawmaker from the House. They most recently censured Arizona Nazi Qidiot dentist Paul Gosar, whose own family has made multiple ads begging people not to vote for him.

The House voted 223-207 to censure Gosar after he shared an animated video on social media depicting him killing Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and attacking President Joe Biden. The vote was split largely along party lines, with only two Republicans — Liz Cheney of Wyoming and Adam Kinzinger of Illinois — joining Democrats in the vote to censure him. Gosar was stripped of his two committee assignments on the Oversight and Reform Committee and the Natural Resources Committee, but his Qrazy can still remain in his caucuses, cast floor votes, and make procedural motions.

When Greene was censured last year, it resulted in her losing her committee assignments. While that was a good thing in theory–I’m all for “Marjorie Nazi Greene” having as little influence over our government as possible, for all of the reasons and more–all that happened was that she used it as a way of garnering sympathy from her supporters (and wtf is wrong with all of those people?).

Plus, without any actual work to do, Greene just sits in her taxpayer-funded office and uses her taxpayer-funded computer to post propaganda on Facebook and Twitter all day. Soon after her censure, she also had her personal Twitter account suspended for the exact kind of hate speech that got her censured. Of course, Marjorie Manson also used that to play the martyr. I wonder who she learned that from, I just can’t think of it.

Censuring Marjorie again will be another black mark on her Congressional record, but she’s also going to use it as a fundraising grift because House Democrats won’t be able to bring the resolution to the floor until after the November 8th midterms. If Republicans regain control of the House, not only will the censure not go forward, but Greene will also get her committee assignments back.

Which reminds me, have you met Marcus Flowers? You should really meet Marcus Flowers, please.
