CONSPIRACY & ANTISEMITISM: Kanye West says "Jewish media" is to blame for his troubles

Rapper Kanye West doubled down on the antisemitism in a new interview on Revolt TV, where he also dished up conspiracy theories about a death that sparked a summer of protests and complained about being debanked.

West doubled down on his recent antisemitism, blaming “Jewish media” for “blocking [him] out,” and suggesting that the interview won’t even be aired. He complained of being treated as persona non grata, even having his social media blocked, after making threatening and hateful posts, including one threatening to “go death con 3 [sic] on Jewish people.”

The social media post made the same accusation, saying Jewish people in media had “toyed with [him] and tried to black ball [sic] anyone whoever [sic] opposes [their] agenda,” but this interview made it clear that he isn’t backing down.

Instead, he spewed a series of other conspiracy theories, including asserting that George Floyd wasn’t killed by the police officer who was convicted for murder after keeping a knee on his back for more than 8 minutes, and complaining that J.P. Morgan decided to cut ties with him and his products over his controversial and unacceptable comments and behavior.

You can see a clip from the interview below:

West’s comments about Floyd ignore testimony from medical experts explaining that the knee in Floyd’s back inhibited his breathing and that the officer held his knee on or near Floyd’s neck for the majority of the eight-plus minutes he was restrained, only moving it to his shoulder after an ambulance was approaching.

“They hit him with the fentanyl,” West says. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

He’s citing an anti-Black Lives Matter documentary by Candace Owens, but quickly shifts to his own claims of persecution:

“Wait a second, but tell me, could you even run this interview? ‘Cause Mav [Maverick Carter of The Shop] didn’t run my interview. They blocked me out. The Jewish media blocked me out. This s**t lit, right?”

Maverick Carter told Hollywood Reporter:

“Kanye was booked weeks ago and, after talking to Kanye directly the day before we taped, I believed he was capable of a respectful discussion and he was ready to address all his recent comments. Unfortunately, he used The Shop to reiterate more hate speech and extremely dangerous stereotypes.”
