BROKEN RECORD: Trump plays the same old unhinged, hackneyed hits at Miami rally
Donald Trump held a rally in Miami on Sunday, bringing with him the same rhetoric he’s been spewing since announcing his presidency, and MAGA ate it up.
Familiar chants of “Lock her up” and “Build the wall” erupted from the crowd while the ex-President promoted lies about election fraud, criticized his former Attorney General, and mocked the attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, insincerely asking, “how’s she doing lately?” referring to Madame Speaker as “Crazy Pelosi.”

But the crowd was elated when Trump accused Pelosi, President Biden, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of corruption, telling the crowd, “We’re going to end Crazy Pelosi’s career once and for all,” prompting cheers and the same “Lock her up,” chant previously reserved for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Trump criticized his handpicked former Attorney General Bill Barr for not going along with the ex-President’s unsubstantiated claims of a stolen election. “He didn’t have the guts to do the job he should’ve done!” “Sir, they’re gonna impeach me – they’re gonna impeach me,” Trump mocked.
Quickly contradicting himself, the twice-impeached former President said, “He was very much in favor of looking into the whole thing with the election fraud, he was a big believer,”–statements we now know are false thanks to Barr’s own taped testimony with January 6th investigators, shown during this summer’s televised hearings.
Despite evidence to the contrary, it didn’t prevent Trump from lying, saying his administration had completed the plan for the border wall, but the Democrats stopped it.
Three more weeks, and it would’ve taken three more weeks to finish it. They could’ve done it in three weeks. It was all set to go, the wall was sitting there ready to be installed and they didn’t want to do it. That’s when I said, ‘You know, I think they really believe in open borders.’
“These people are crazy, they want open borders,” Trump said.
No MAGA rally would be complete without insults and false claims. Calling Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), “Very unattractive physically,” and “Crooked,” saying the congressman has a “watermelon head,” Trump accused Schiff of lying about the call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that led to the first impeachment trial. He also referred to Sen. Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) wife Elaine Chao – who is Asian-American – as “Coco Chao.”

The unhinged rant included praise for authoritarian Chinese President Xi Jinping’s cruel anti-humanitarian criminal policies, and again, called for the execution of drug dealers.
A quick trial is they catch the drug dealer, and within a period of 48 hours, the trial is over. And if he’s guilty, unfortunately, they use – they have no choice – they use the death penalty. And you know what happened? They have literally no problem.
“I’m calling immediately for the death penalty for drug dealers,” Trump told a cheering crowd.
It’s become glaringly obvious that Donald Trump is going to die on the election fraud hill, and his hatred of those holding him accountable for his crimes and abuses makes him incredibly dangerous.
Mocking the violent attack on Paul Pelosi, praising wannabe dictators, still crowing about Hillary Clinton, and vowing to execute American citizens would be a deal breaker in a sane world.
Unfortunately, in MAGA land, that ship has sailed.
