LAKE INFERIOR: Delusional Arizona woman who thinks she's governor is in deep trouble

Kari Lake is not accepting her defeat in the gubernatorial race in Arizona and with Donald Trump now officially in the race for 2024, she made an appearance at his Florida estate Thursday night to spread election conspiracy theories and promise the former president her support.

Lake lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs for the position of Governor of Arizona, but she’s not accepting that.

Instead, she’s hired a legal team, and is collecting complaints from voters who claim they were denied the opportunity to vote — and joining forces with the master election denier.

In her speech at Mar-a-Lago, Lake called election officials “clowns,” hinted that she’s getting to the bottom of some great election conspiracy contrived to keep her out of office, although the ‘evidence’ she’s offered is flimsy at best, and again declared her support for Trump.

She also claimed that election officials “shut down machines” to keep her from winning and complained about the length of time it takes to count all the votes, and about the accessibility of early voting in Arizona.

Here’s what she had to say about both her election and Trump’s:

I don’t know what my future holds, other than I’m gonna continue to fight for this country, but I will do everything in my power to make sure this man [Trump] gets back in the White House. We need him now more than ever.

On her social media, Lake and her team have shared videos of some of the constituents she claims were disenfranchised in the 2022 election, but most of the claims fall apart upon even minimal scrutiny — such as the voter who says she was turned away, but admits she didn’t get to the polls until 7pm, when they close; and the voter who was forced to cast a provisional ballot because he had not submitted a change of address when he moved.

Here’s one of the videos Lake shared, from Marley, who believes she was treated unfairly when she wasn’t allowed to join the line at 7pm, when polls closed.

The following is another of her witnesses to alleged voter disenfranchisement — his story is that he was asked to fill out a new ballot after the tabulator was unable to count his, and his vote was accepted successfully, but he still believes this was intentional and intended to suppress votes.

Lake may be hoping her Mar-a-Lago appearance will draw Trump’s support behind her and help alter the outcome of her election — but he didn’t have any success at overturning his own two years ago, and it’s not clear what she thinks he could try in Arizona that was missed in D.C. in 2020.

After all, the trials for those efforts haven’t even finished yet.
