LARA'S OUT: Trump's daughter-in-law shown the door by Fox News

Looks like another Trump has been publicly dumped. This time it’s Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, who has been given her walking papers by right-wing propaganda machine Fox News. The Murdoch-owned network cited the former President’s announcement of a third run at the White House as the reason.

The split is said to be on good terms.

“We appreciate Lara’s valuable contributions across Fox News Media programming,” a Fox News Media representative said in a statement, The Los Angeles Times reported.

A part of the “team,” since 2021, Trump expressed her excitement at joining the network.

“I sort of feel like I’ve been an unofficial member of the team for so long,” she gushed.

“You guys know, it was kind of a joke over the past five years, I would come there so often that the security guards were like maybe we should just give you a key. So to be part of the team I am so, so excited.”

It’s no secret that Rupert Murdoch has sought to distance himself from Donald Trump – going so far as to throw the former President under the bus in scathing New York Post and Wall Street Journal op-eds rebuking the MAGA leader.

Both arms of the Murdoch media empire delighted in their scathing criticisms of the delusional failed businessman.

The New York Post hilariously trolled Trump’s announcement with a lower front page headline, “Florida Man Makes Announcement,” relegating the story to the 26th page of the gossip rag – where the fun continued.

The article was a series of zingers aimed at the twice-impeached loser, with lines like:

“With just 720 days to go before the next election, a Florida retiree made the surprise announcement that he was running for president.”

“Avid golfer Donald J. Trump kicked things off at Mar-a-Lago, his resort and classified-documents library.”

“Trump, famous for gold-plated lobbies and for firing people on reality television, will be 78 in 2024.”

“His cholesterol levels are unknown, but his favorite food is a charred steak with ketchup.”

Fox News has a policy not to employ those running for office, or who have close ties to candidates, a category that Lara Trump fits snugly. The dutiful daughter-in-law has been vocal in her support — and defense — of her husband’s father.

Where Trump’s daughter-in-law goes from here is unknown. Aside from a barely mentionable failed attempt to run as a North Carolina GOP candidate for U.S. Senate, Lara Trump’s accomplishments have been less than notable.

But all is not lost. Though her gig as a paid Fox News contributor has hit the skids, the Trump surrogate can still appear as an unpaid guest.

Save for an appearance on Fox Business after her father-in-law’s November 15th announcement, Eric’s wife has been relatively absent from the network of late. When host Stuart Varney insinuated that papa-in-law Trump’s fire was burning less than bright these days, Lara jumped to Trump’s defense.

“I’m sure you’re very supportive of your father-in-law, but to those of us on the outside looking at it, it didn’t seem as though he’s got the old magic,” Varney said. “You know what I mean?”

“Oh, well, I highly disagree with you on that,” Trump replied.
