PRIVILEGE GONE WILD: Chris Christie’s niece loses it during assault on police in airplane meltdown

Shannon Epstein, the niece of the former Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie, had to be forcibly removed from a New Orleans flight after insulting Latino passengers – injuring six law enforcement officers in the process.
Epstein allegedly kicked, bit, and spat on Jefferson Paris sheriff’s deputies as they tried to restrain the unhinged 25-year-old.
On a Thanksgiving Day flight, Epstein reportedly asked a family she thought to be Latino if they were “smuggling cocaine.” She was asked to deplane after becoming increasingly irate, causing the taxiing plane to return to the gate.
According to The New Orleans Times-Picayune, when deputies arrived at the scene, Epstein refused to exit the jet bridge into the terminal, Captain Jason Rivarde, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office, said.
“In the scuffle, she injured six deputies, biting one on the arm and breaking the skin, and kicking another in the groin, Rivarde said. They were treated there by paramedics.”
The unruly passenger wasted no time name-dropping her uncle and asserting her misguided privilege.

Sooo Chris Christie’s niece called a Hispanic family ‘drug mules’ on a flight. She refused to deplane, was arrested, and threatened that her uncle has powerful friends like Trump. She injured six deputies, bit one’s arm and breaking the skin, and kicking another in the groin."

“Epstein shouted that the deputies were going to lose their jobs or end up in jail,” The Times-Picayune reported.
She told the officers that her uncle was a “friend” of former President Trump.

It took seven sheriff’s deputies to restrain Epstein – handcuffing her to a wheelchair for transport, during which she reportedly tried to bite the deputies while spewing profanities.

After being booked on six counts of battery on a police officer, three of disturbing the peace, one of resisting arrest by force, and one of remaining after being forbidden, Epstein was released from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center later that day, after paying $10,750 bail.
A former 2016 presidential candidate, Christie has been on a “rehab” tour of sorts, trying to distance himself from the ex-President and the ultra-MAGA wing of the Republican Party as rumors of his intended 2024 bid circulate.
How he responds to the controversy surrounding his niece, and her using his name in an attempt to escape accountability for her egregious actions, will be a test of his integrity – or what’s left of it for those of us old enough to remember his Trump “stanning.”
Governor Christie has yet to respond.
A January 23rd court date has been set, but according to Chief Rivarde, most airline-related cases are moved to federal court.
