WALKER THE STALKER: Herschel Walker’s history of violence and misogyny
GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker has a long and troubling history of threatening, abusing, and attacking women. Georgia voters should keep that in mind when considering what kind of man they want representing them in the nation’s most august legislative body.
Walker’s past behavior runs the spectrum from generally misogynistic to near-OJ Simpson levels. The Daily Beast spoke with several women who had relationships with Walker, and all detailed his tendency to regularly lie and commit adultery.
Yet that’s hardly the worst of it.
Walker, who supports a fifteen-week limit on abortions — even if there has been rape or incest or the life of the mother is in jeopardy — has pushed two different women to have three abortions (one refused the second time, resulting in a son).
Walker has left the women in his life to raise his children in isolation, largely without his support.
His son Christian Walker has outlined this in a now famous post:
Christian Walker’s allegations jibe with police reports and allegations from Christian’s mother, Cindy Grossman.
She has reported that the candidate once put a gun to her head and threatened to blow her brains out.
At one point in 2001, Walker not only seemed ready to kill her but also said he was considering having a “shootout” with police.
After Grossman broke off her relationship with Walker, he proceeded, her sister Maria Tsettos has said, to repeatedly threaten Grossman’s life and the life of the new person she was dating.
As the AP first reported, Tsettos remembered that Walker “stated unequivocally that he was going to shoot my sister Cindy and her boyfriend in the head.”
Grossman eventually had to get a restraining order, since Walker would keep tracking her down and confronting her. A judge also took away his gun for a time.
Another woman Walker was seeing claimed that he threatened to kill her in 2012 when she suggested ending the relationship.
Again, no charges were filed.

Girlfriend Cheryl Parsa also told The Daily Beast that Walker took her by the neck and took a swipe at her after she made the mistake of discovering him cheating.
“I thought he was going to beat me,” she recalled.
Walker has often tried to dismiss these incidents as a part of his past that was caused by dissociative identity disorder (DID), a mental condition he claims he is now fully over.
Psychiatrists, however, say that DID – if it is a true diagnosis, which is hotly debated – is not something that can be cured, but more something that would have to be controlled.
For her part, Parsa, the ex-girlfriend, has stated that she feels Walker uses the DID as an excuse to “justify lying, cheating, and ultimately destroying families.”
She recognizes the same Herschel today:
“He is not well. And I say that as someone who knows exactly what this looks like, because I have lived through it and seen what it does to him and to other people. He cannot be a senator. He cannot have control over a state when he has little to no control of his mind.”
Putting such a man in the Senate would show some degree of insanity on our part as well.
Let’s hope that a majority of Georgia voters agree when the final votes are cast tomorrow.
