DADDY WHO? Ivanka cuts deal with New York Attorney General

Ivanka cuts deal with New York Attorney General

Donald Trump’s favored child, Ivanka, has been given a pass in the case against her father’s company, the Trump Organization. The former President’s eldest daughter was recently excluded from a judge’s order for a court monitor to oversee the company’s business dealings — protecting her own business interests in the process.

Ivanka, who made nearly seven hundred million dollars while working in the White House during daddy’s one-term presidency, will not be subjected to the oversight of the court-ordered babysitter.

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a $250 million lawsuit against the Trump Organization four months ago to keep the slippery ex-commander-in-chief from playing hide and seek with the company’s financials and avoiding paying multi-million dollar fines.

On December 5th, Attorney General James modified the preliminary injunction order, releasing the former President’s daughter from the court-appointed monitor’s clutches.

“The term ‘defendants’ or ‘Defendants’ as used in the Preliminary Injunction Order and all subsequent and supplemental orders related to the Preliminary Injunction Order, including the Monitorship Order and Supplemental Monitorship Order, excludes Ivanka Trump,” the order states.

Previously named alongside her father and brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump in the investigation, Jared Kushner’s wife will have one less legal worry to concern herself with.

In accordance with the agreement, Ivanka has agreed to drop her appeal of the injunction, according to the Attorney General’s office.

“Ivanka Trump’s lawyers privately wrote to the judge last month to request a special exemption.” Attorneys for the former White House employee argued that she shouldn’t be caught up in the investigation, because she lacked an official role at the Trump Organization,” according to The Daily Beast.

“‘Ms. Trump has had no involvement for more than five years…Ms. Trump has had no role as an officer, director, or employee of the Trump Organization or any of its affiliates since at least January 2017,’ her lawyers wrote in an appeal filed on November 7th,” The Daily Beast reported.

The former first daughter has been less than subtle in her and her husband Jared Kushner’s attempts to distance themselves from her father.

The Stepford daughter was noticeably absent when Trump announced a third run at the United States presidency – despite Trump’s desperate attempts to get her and her husband to join him onstage.

Jared made a less-than-stellar appearance. He was spotted in the crowd with Eric Trump, while Ivanka was a no-show altogether.

She said that, though she loved her father, she was “choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.”

Ivanka Trump may be a lot of things, but shrewd is at the top of the list. The Trump Organization was found guilty of multiple felony counts charged against the criminal real estate enterprise on Tuesday, and somehow she’s getting off without a slap on the wrist.
