DEMOCRACY HATER: Here’s how a cultist pastor wants to change election rules to stem MAGA losses
I’m no Bible scholar, so I was hoping someone a little more well-read in the ways of the not-always-so-Good Book could point me to the passage where it says:
“And if ye should lose an election, yea verily ye should whine and cry and beg to have it overturned so ye may never have to look liketh a loser.”
Honestly, have you ever seen so many hypocrites acting like giant overgrown babies?
I wonder where they got the idea that we just pitch a public tantrum when we have a sadz over losing.
Anyway, the latest Fake Christian Trumpocrite to kick up a fuss about losing elections is MAGA cultist “Pastor” Shane Vaughn, who went viral in July during a rant where he called January 6th witness Cassidy Hutchinson “a little witch” with a “Lezzie spirit.”
So “Christ-like”!
Now Vaughn is whining about how unfair it is that Republicans keep losing elections because *checks notes* people aren’t voting for them and their lunatic MAGA candidates as much as they’re voting for Democrats, so he wants all kinds of changes made to the voting process at the state level.
This doesn’t surprise me at all, because so many of Trump’s handpicked MAGA candidates in the midterms were election deniers who were intent on dismantling our election voting system from within.
Thankfully that attempt failed, so they have to try to do it better in 2024.
And that starts now with the GQP planting doubt about state elections. Y’know, just as God intended.
“Pastor” Shane is out here advocating for electoral colleges in every state, according to Right Wing Watch.
“The only way we ever have a Republican president is the Electoral College,” Vaughn said during a Livestream of his hatefest disguised as a religious talk show last Thursday. “We cannot defeat the population centers without the Electoral College.”
Uh, yeah, which is why most people want to abolish the Electoral College altogether — so that the voice of the people is truly heard.
Our elected officials ruin enough stuff once they’re in office, so they need to let us actually elect the President.
But don’t tell that to this Man of Republican God, who screams that the only way to “save the Senate in the United States of America is that the Senate elections should also be done by the Electoral College of a state.”
Witness the cray for yourself, and remember that we need to keep electing smart people who understand how the government actually works and who actually believe in the concept of a one-person, one-vote democracy — unlike any of the MAGA nutjobs that the GOP keeps running with.
