TRAITOR TROVE: Meadows texts reveal coordinated effort to overthrow our republic

“Our LAST HOPE is invoking Marshall Law!! PLEASE URGE TO PRESIDENT TO DO SO!!”

That ungrammatical, idiotic text – with a misspelling of “martial” – derived from South Carolina Representative Ralph Norman.

It was sent to Trump chief of staff and collaborator in the government’s overthrow Mark Meadows – on January 17, 2021 – eleven days after Trump’s mob stormed the Capitol, murdered some people, and ransacked the place, hoping to hang Mike Pence and perhaps Nancy Pelosi while they were at it.

As initially reported by Talking Points Memo, Norman had been on the overthrow bandwagon for quite some time.

On November 7, 2020, as media outlets were calling the election for Joe Biden, Norman had texted Meadows “[I]t’s time we FIGHT FOR THE ONE PERSON WHO HAS CHANGED THIS COUNTRY!! WAY TOO SOON TO GIVE IN NOW!!”

Evidently, in addition to not caring about democratic government, he also has a distaste for lower-case letters.

As is often the case, the person who has to shout has the least to say.

We’ve seen some of the messages–all [sic] in grammatical disaster– before, relating to the events of January 6 and the days immediately prior.

We’ve seen even how some of those people who relished in conspiracy theories to try to sow discord – like Sean Hannity, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Donald Trump Jr. – how even they recognized that things were getting out of hand on January 6.

Greene to Meadows at 2:28 p.m. on January 6: “Mark I was just told there is an active shooter on the first floor of the Capitol Please tell the President to calm people This isn’t the way to solve anything.”

Before you give her any credit, know that at 3:52 p.m. she would add: “Mark we don’t think these attackers are our people. We think they are Antifa. Dressed like Trump supporters.”

Donald Trump Jr. at 2:52 p.m. on January 6: “He’s got to condem this shit. Asap. The captiol police tweet is not enough.”

Meadows quickly replied, “I am pushing it hard. I agree.”

Hannity to Meadows at 3:31 p.m. on January 6: “Can he make a statement. I saw the tweet. Ask people to peacefully leave the capital.”

These texts have already indicated to us that Trump himself knew full well what he had caused and what he was doing.

Meadows had to push him because Trump was going to do NOTHING to protect the capitol.

Even Trump’s messages about being peaceful were clearly just designed to give him some degree of plausible deniability should things not go his way.

Had they hanged Mike Pence and installed Trump as dictator, he would not have complained, you can be sure.

The latest release of the Meadows texts demonstrate just how extensive the plot was.

People like Greene and Norman were attending planning sessions and rallies to discuss ways to overthrow the election and keep Trump in power.

They were coordinating with Conservative Partnership Institute, a Trump-supporting dark money org.

They met with senators, many of whom would later support the overthrow effort.

One of the leaders of the overthrow movement was Senator Ted Cruz of Texas.

Cruz was behind the effort to challenge electors based on nonsensical legal reasoning.

He was joined by Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, who also helped spread a false narrative.

One of the pro-Trump leaders in the House, Mo Brooks, was in frequent coordination with Meadows.

Back in March, Brooks would reveal that Trump had asked him to declare the election invalid and have him installed as president.

Brooks has now broken with Trump.

It’s easy to see how these Republicans helped bring about the insurrection.

They spoke about Trump as if he was Caesar, coming to save the republic rather than destroy it.

Here’s a text from Brian Babin (R-TX):

“Mark, When we lose Trump we lose our Republic. Fight like hell and find a way. We’re with you down here in Texas and refuse to live under a corrupt Marxist dictatorship. Liberty! Babin”

Yes, he signed his name – “Babin” – in case Meadows mixed him up with some other traitorous idiot.

Babin would later vote against certification on January 6.

No sensible person can have any reasonable doubt at this point that Donald J. Trump tried to overthrow the government on January 6, and that his lies led to people’s deaths.

Those who joined him in these efforts are traitors, and should be treated as such.

Their own texts tell us that.
