DR. DRE SAID: Marjorie Taylor Greene has tantrum after her video is yanked for copyright violation

Marjorie Taylor Greene got caught in a copyright violation, and instead of owning up to her own wrongdoing — or perhaps even issuing an apology — she’s using her Twitter account to lash out and attack the very rapper whose music she used without permission.

Greene posted a video of herself walking around the Capital Complex, congratulating herself on Kevin McCarthy’s eventual win of the Speaker of the House seat and on her several moments in the spotlight alongside him.

All of this was set to music — specifically, Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.” — and accompanied by Greene’s assertion that “It’s time to begin.. and they can’t stop what’s coming.”

Well, Dre wasn’t happy about this, and, hours later, it turned out that he could at least put a stop to something.

The video was removed from Greene’s post, replaced by a Twitter warning citing “a report by the copyright owner.”

Greene posted again later — sharing a screenshot of her media statement in which she asserts that she’s been locked out of her Twitter account for the violation (despite posting the statement on Twitter) and attacks Dr. Dre — complaining that his lyrics are “glorification of the thug life and drugs,” while praising his “creative chord progression.”

Though she didn’t give credit, her screenshot appears to have come from TMZ, which also reported on Dre’s response:

“The mega-producer tells us…’I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one.’ So, yeah…he ain’t a fan of her collab here in the slightest.”

TMZ followed up with an additional story after Dre’s attorney sent Greene a warning letter, telling her the artist “has not, and will never, grant you permission to broadcast or disseminate any of his music.”

They also report that the rapper’s lawyer scolded her for not having a “passing familiarity with the laws of our country,” and saying that “we think an actual lawmaker should be making laws, not breaking laws.”

The attorney’s letter also demands a response by January 11th, confirming her compliance with the demand to not use Dre’s music without permission.

For now, a copy of Greene’s video archived by Patriot Takes can still be viewed.

Here’s Greene’s tantrum post, which she has titled “The next episode..” as though she’s plotting another move — hopefully, it’s a contrite response letter.
