PRODIGAL SON: Junior accidentally admits why dad should never have been prez

And the Nobel Prize in Obliviousness goes to…Donald Trump, Junior!

Hold your applause.

While we all knew that Little Donny is a racist who thinks Syrian lives are worth no more than Skittles, a bigot who wants to ban all Muslims from entering the country, a misogynist who feels women should just either tolerate sexual harassment in the workplace or “teach kindergarten,” and just generally a greedy, self-centered little boy whose daddy never quite showed him enough love, we now can see that he may in fact also not understand what irony is.

At all.

After the FAA had to ground all US flights this morning due to the failure of its Notice to Air Missions (NOTAD) system, which contains important flight information for pilots, Junior made sure to do the responsible thing and jump right on Twitter without investigating the matter in order to blame Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and take some bigoted swipes at him as well.

Yet he also seemed to inadvertently out his father – and why he should never have been president.

Hmmm…That sounds like you’re describing a reality television star with no political experience suddenly running for president. And we all know how THAT turned out!

Essentially, Donald Trump, Junior, whose only qualification for anything is that his last name is Trump and that he’s just as deluded as his dad, is now criticizing Pete Buttigieg, the first openly gay person to ever be appointed to a president’s cabinet.

Buttigieg, mind you, who proved a surprise star during the presidential primary season of 2019-2020, is a Harvard graduate, a Navy man who deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 while Little Donny was picking crumbs out of his caviar; was mayor of South Bend, Indiana; and is an eloquent, obviously intelligent man who inspires people.

His father was an immigrant from Malta, not a silver-spoon realtor who learned how to use the government as his own personal teat, like Dirty Donald did from father Fred.

In short, Donny, Jr. couldn’t hold a candle up to Pete Buttigieg in order to see the look of disbelief on Mayor Pete’s face when Little Donny criticizes him.

But the secretary wasn’t wasting time with the likes of Don Jr.

Unlike Little Donny, he was busy doing his job.

The situation was quickly gotten under control, and Mr. Buttigieg – who had stayed on top of it – dutifully informed the public with updates:

We still don’t know for sure what caused it, but the secretary has vowed to keep looking into things until he finds out.

Don Jr. probably didn’t notice these updates, though, because he was busy emitting more bigotry:

Secretary Buttigieg took parental leave in 2021 to help care for the new infants him and husband Chasten had just welcomed.

But calling a gay person a woman seems completely in line for Little Donny.

Note to Junior: If you really want to have a macho contest with Mr. Buttigieg, just keep in mind that he went to Afghanistan to fight for his country and you’ve never done more than play Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out on your Nintendo.

And despite Junior’s claims that Buttigieg isn’t doing his job, he was instrumental in the Infrastructure Act; was very much on top of the Southwest Airlines fiasco in December, fighting for passenger rights; and has been working to get the 2018 FAA Reauthorization Act – which Daddy Trump failed to effectively implement – reapproved.

He’s also had to deal with fallout from the pandemic and what it’s done to supply lines.

Buttigieg’s efforts have been described on the DOT website, in case you want to check them out, Don.

Of course, it would involve reading, which we know is your kryptonite.

“The Secretary has also focused on intervening to support American supply chains dealing with shockwaves from the pandemic, including measures to help cut in half the long-dwelling container congestion at America’s largest ports. Other major initiatives in his early tenure have included a comprehensive national roadway safety strategy to reduce deaths and serious injuries; delivery of emergency COVID-19 relief funds to transit agencies across America; and awards of over $9.5 billion in discretionary funding to enhance transportation through over 800 projects in communities across America.”

Meanwhile, the secretary has had to face constant criticism and bigotry related to his sexuality, as evidenced by this interaction on Fox:

Nothing new for Mr. Buttigieg.

Some Twitter users were quick to point out the irony that Junior had missed.

Even this bloviate weighed in:

Little Donny will surely be ticked at Ross now! But you can still follow him and join in the merriment by clicking on @RossRosenfeld.
