BYE, GEORGE: GOP rep says Santos could be removed from Congress for this

It’s been another busy week of lying for Rep. George “Anthony Devolder Jingleheimer Schmidt” Santos (R-NY by way of a knockoff reboot of “Catch Me If You Can”), who must bathe in Vaseline so he can keep slipping away from accountability.
ICYMI, this past week brought more revelations of Devolder’s crimings and lies, including his involvement in a pyramid scheme and stealing clothes and checks from his former roommates, which is a pattern for him.
All while still under multiple state and federal investigations, including by the FEC and the New York State Attorney General.
Santos also snuck in a little shout-out to the trans community and asked them to vote for Republicans.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) appeared on CNN‘s State of the Union on Sunday and said that Santos will be removed from Congress if it’s found that he broke campaign finance laws.

Why yes, the very same James Comer who also seems to have no intention of ever holding Donald Trump accountable.
It’s actually pretty astonishing to listen to Comer speak about Santos because he could also say the exact same things about Donald Trump.

Let’s hear it for being willfully obtuse!

“He’s a bad guy,” Comer said of Santos. “It’s not up to me or any other member of Congress to determine whether he can be kicked out for lying. Now, if he broke campaign finance laws, then he will be removed from Congress.”
Comer says Santos "is a bad guy," but says the decision of whether or not to resign is his. He adds, however, that "if he broke campaign finance laws, then he will be removed from Congress" pic.twitter.com/NEYYwMsiX5

“If” he broke campaign finance laws? The guy who allowed one of his top campaign aides to pose as Kevin McCarthy’s Chief of Staff to grift donations?
OK, Jimbo. We can wait for any accountability from the GOP when it comes to their own, we’ve been waiting this long.
