BLUE PILL: Biden takes on GOP birth control opponents
The Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) proposed a new rule on Monday allowing any women enrolled in Obamacare plans to get access to birth control “even if their employer, school, or health plan objects on religious grounds.”
HHS says the rule “could help expand coverage for tens of millions of women across the country” who have access to birth control coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which will absolutely make Evangelicals and others in the GOP spontaneously combust.
Under Trump-era rules, some women and their covered dependents could get access to contraceptives only if their employer or coverage sponsor voluntarily signed a form saying their organization wouldn’t cover contraceptive services based on religious or moral grounds.
That rule left many women and others without access to no-cost birth control if their sponsor did not sign the form, the HHS said.
The Republicans love to live in a rage cycle of whining without doing anything to come up with a solution no matter how glaringly obvious it might be.
When the GOP complains about abortion, they never once talk about introducing better sex education in public schools, including lessons on birth control, to teach kids how babies are made so they understand how to better protect themselves from accidentally making one.
I know it’s because they haven’t quite yet figured out a way to monopolize birth control to make a profit, which is why they went after abortion instead, and now they’ve been living in the same pattern of abusing their own demo for decades.
It’s an odd tactic to intentionally create an overpopulated and undereducated country, but thankfully there are still good-hearted people in the government who believe people should be able to decide when they want to have a baby, and those people are called Democrats.
