LAKE INFERIOR: Delusional Arizona woman who thinks she’s governor is in deep trouble
“BOMBSHELL DISCOVERY” failed Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake tweeted out on January 23.
The governor of Fantasyland, who still refuses to admit that she lost to Katie Hobbs in Arizona, proceeded to tell her deluded and devoted followers that “nearly 40,000 ballots [were] illegally counted.”
Lake’s evidence for this supposed fraud was some pictured signatures that, she seemed to be indicating, did not match up.
The problem, though – other than that she’s becoming the Delta Dawn of politics, wandering around at rallies looking for the victory that abandoned her long ago – is that posting images of voter signatures is illegal, considered a class 6 felony in the state, and punishable by fines and up to almost six years in prison, though it can also be treated as a misdemeanor and the sentence does not have to include any jail time at all (so don’t get your hopes up).
The new Arizona secretary of state, Adrian Fontes, who beat out another Trump-supporting election denier, Mark Finchem, took note of the violation and issued a referral to Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, also a Democrat.
Fontes cites the relevant statute, which states that “the records containing a voter’s signature…shall not be accessible or reproduced by any person other than the voter…”

By tweeting out voter signatures to the nearly 870,000 followers of her Twitter account, Lake seems to have violated that law in the clearest terms.
In her defense, though, she is an idiot.
I mean this sincerely.
It’s hard to tell whether Lake was intentionally flouting the law or if she’s just so stupid as to either not have consulted with legal counsel before publishing that tweet or, worse, to ignore her lawyers’ advice.
Considering the sanctions her lawyers have previously been hit with, it’s also possible she’s having a hard time finding a decent attorney to give her any advice.

Lake has claimed that she is the “real” governor of Arizona. Well, now she can tell her pretend attorney general to not investigate her crime.
