CLOWN CAUCUS: House GOP pull another pathetic, performative stunt
Donald Trump was impeached twice by House Democrats, and despite the fact that his loyal MAGA Senators let him off the hook, he’s still carrying a yuge chip on his padded suit jacket shoulders.
Removing Democrats from committee assignments–especially those who had participated in Trump’s impeachments or perpetrated any other perceived slights against TFG–was just the beginning for “Weaker Speaker” Kevin McCarthy after getting a temporary break from living inside Trump’s alimentary canal.
Even before they managed to squeak out their razor-thin House Majority, Republicans were threatening to impeach President Joe Biden for *checks notes* just being Joe Biden, apparently.
But first, they’re going to do a test impeachment run with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas because they have such a hateboner for anything regarding the Southern border.
Yes, you read that correctly.
House Republicans are carrying out all kinds of immature spiteful revenge tactics on their Democratic colleagues and the Biden administration because all they care about is performative politics for an audience of one, so they HAVE to start with the big bad I word that haunts Trump to this day.
Arizona Nazi Andy Biggs–who was referred to House Ethics by the January 6th House Select Committee for his part in plotting the Capitol insurrection and his refusal to comply with their subpoena–said he would file articles of impeachment against Secretary Mayorkas for what he says are “lax border policies” because he’s a xenophobic racist traitor to the United States.
Biggs stood with more than a dozen of his fellow treasonous MAGAts outside the Capitol on Wednesday and said Mayorkas had “intentionally caused a border crisis” by ending the restrictive policies of the hateful Trump administration.
Gross.
A Democratic Senate is essentially going to laugh this whole thing right out of the chamber and the GOP knows this.
They don’t care about wasting time or American taxpayer dollars. It’s the Republican version of “Hey, KKKids, let’s put on a shitshow!”
And there’s pretty much nothing we can do except keep dragging the QAnon Qaucus for bringing 1st grade playground tactics into our Congress.
Even Chuck Todd caught on to what a joke this all is, and he’s not the only one.
