UNCOVERED! More classified material found at home of Mike Pence

In a scheduled search of the Indiana residence of former Vice President Mike Pence, the FBI uncovered one additional document that included classified markings.

The five-hour search came after Pence announced last month that he had delivered a “small number” of classified documents to the FBI after requesting that his lawyers look through his home archives in the wake of the massive scandal surrounding his former boss Donald Trump’s possession of numerous top secret documents and his refusal to return them to their rightful place in the National Archives.

In addition to the single new classified document found at the Pence household, FBI agents also took possession of six other documents that were not designated as classified but nonetheless were covered by the Presidential Records Act.

The FBI was reportedly given unrestricted access to the Pence home as they conducted their search.

Devin O’Malley, an adviser to the former Vice President and potential 2024 candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, explained how Mike Pence had “fully cooperated” with the FBI probe, in contrast to how Donald Trump responded to the entreaties from the National Archives to return the material that belongs to the federal government by law.

O’Malley issued the following statement about the circumstances surrounding the FBI search and what the agents from the bureau had found:

“Following the discovery and disclosure of a small number of potentially classified documents that had inadvertently been transported to his home in Indiana, Vice President Pence and his legal team have fully cooperated with the appropriate authorities and agreed to a consensual search of his residence that took place today.”

“The Department of Justice completed a thorough and unrestricted search of five hours and removed one document with classified markings and six additional pages without such markings that were not discovered in the initial review by the vice president’s counsel.”

Interest in whether Mike Pence possessed any classified documents peaked after it was discovered that President Biden still had some classified documents left over from his tenure as vice president to Barack Obama at his home and in a private office.

Unlike Donald Trump, both Biden and Pence have said that they were unaware that they still had the documents and have cooperated fully with the FBI investigations at their properties.
