There is no evidence of outcome-altering fraud in the 2020 election, but there is, a Georgia Grand Jury believes, evidence of fraud surrounding the ex-president, concluding that “one or more” of the individuals they interviewed had likely lied under oath, and they are recommending indictments for those individuals.

The Grand Jury is recommending charges in the probe for an unknown number of individuals — aside from former president Donald Trump, these could include individuals close to him, such as Rudy Giuliani, as well as 16 individuals who signed paperwork falsely identifying themselves as official Georgia electors, and now, potentially, the alleged perjurers.

Indictments have not yet been publicly announced, and in the interest of protecting the right to due process, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney is keeping most of the report sealed until further notice.

However, on Monday, he announced he would be releasing a portion of the report, noting that it did not contain specifics or identify the individuals accused.

What wasn’t clear on Monday was just how minimal that release would truly be.

It includes an introduction, explaining the purpose and process of the Grand Jury, a conclusion, thanks to attorneys and staff at the District Attorney’s office, and a single section, identified as Section VIII, which is reproduced in full below, via a copy obtained by the Washington Post:

“A majority of the Grand Jury believes that perjury may have been committed by one or more witnesses testifying before it. The Grand Jury recommends that the District Attorney seek appropriate indictments for such crimes where the evidence is compelling.”

“The Grand Jury heard extensive testimony on the subject of alleged election fraud from poll workers, investigators, technical experts, and State of Georgia employees and officials, as well as from persons still claiming that such fraud took place. We find by a unanimous vote that no widespread fraud took place in the Georgia 2020 presidential election that could result in overturning that election.”

Among others, the panel interviewed Trump ally and former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who continues to promote the false claim through podcasts, social media, and any other opportunity, and disgraced former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who has been touring the country spreading conspiracy theories, and, according to the January 6th Committee, was involved with meetings plotting such election overturn methods as having the military seize voting machines (clip below).
