TUCKERED OUT: Major media outlets DEMAND equal rights to January 6th footage
In the wake of the attack on the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA via the Mar-a-Lago ball washing station) stood on the House floor and blamed Donald Trump for inciting his invited crowd of MAGA terrorists for the violence and vandalism they perpetrated on his behalf.
We all know how the GQP has since changed the truth of the January 6th narrative, and now they’re planning to do even more lying about it thanks to some “exclusive security footage” that Weaker Speaker McCarthy handed over to Tucker Carlson at the Fox News Propaganda Dog and Pony Show.
KKKevin McCarthy didn’t even bother to consult with fellow House GOP leadership team or with House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem “Rightful Speaker” Jeffries (D-NY) before deciding to give Carlson access, which is a huge red flag.
The MSM seems to know this as well, which is why CNN, ABC News, CBS News, Scripps, and other news outlets have joined forces to demand access to the footage KKKevin handed over exclusively to a paid performing compromised Fox shill.
The media coalition’s attorney called on Congress to release all the security footage showing the attack on the Capitol:
“Without full public access to the complete historical record, there is concern that an ideologically-based narrative of an already polarizing event will take hold in the public consciousness, with destabilizing risks to the legitimacy of Congress, the Capitol Police, and the various federal investigations and prosecutions of January 6 crimes,” lawyer Charles Tobin wrote in his letter to McCarthy, GOP House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, House Minority Leader Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
It’s a safe assumption that they’ll never be able to provide more than four seconds of a random Capitol officer not engaged in a violent struggle with a MAGAt, and they’ll certainly ignore the way too many of them treated the walls and floors of the Capitol as their personal toilets.
My lady intuition also tells me that they want that footage to find a way to make Ashli Babbitt even more of a MAGA martyr and somehow blame Democrats for the entire insurrection.
Like, I’m happy to take bets on this, even.
Twitter also agrees there’s some hinky business afoot here because no one is going to allow the GQP to rewrite the history we all witnessed.
