VOID: How CPAC wants to fill all those empty seats
The Conservative Political Action Conference, commonly known as CPAC, has been taking some hard hits lately, and the latest one confirms there’s trouble in MAGA paradise.
The once popular right-wing convention has resorted to online ads recruiting seat fillers for their event, as footage of the first days of the event shows a pitiful lack of attendance as those conservatives seeking to move on from talk of stolen elections shy away.
Screenshots of the ad quickly circulated on social media, and the schadenfreude followed.
Although CPAC wasn’t specifically named in the advertisement it didn’t take long for the public to put two and two together after videos were posted revealing rows upon rows of empty seats, made the rounds.
According to the Craigslist post, takers would be paid between $7 – $12 an hour and receive a free ticket to the event supposedly worth nearly $30,000, (although last week, CPAC was offering congressional staffers tickets for $50.)
“WANTED: Conference attendees/stand-ins” was the headline in the National Harbor, MD ad. Coincidentally, National Harbor, located just outside of the nation’s capital, is where CPAC is being held.
“Hey y’all! I’m a public relations specialist, and we’ve been assigned to fill empty
capacity for a major conference being held in National Harbor this week – as
well as filling up events spilling into the weekend,” the Craigslist ad read.
With a star-studded line-up including Donald Trump Jr., his partner Kimberly Guilfoyle, Chaya Raichik of Libs-of-TikTok fame, and the twice-impeached former president himself – it’s shocking they weren’t playing for a full house.
It wasn’t even close.

Republican pundits and media hyped up the nearly week-long event, but some conservatives were less than enthusiastic after allegations that the event’s evangelical leader, longtime GOP operative Matt Schlapp, sexually assaulted a member of former U.S. Senate candidate Herschel Walker’s campaign staff.
Notably absent were former Vice President Mike Pence and Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who’s rumored to be the frontrunner in the 2024 cut-throat race for the GOP presidential nomination.
On the bright side (at least for the MAGA attendees), ex-president Donald Trump will reportedly be speaking at CPAC on Saturday evening.
But only time will tell if the low-energy political candidate still has the juice to bring in the crowds he so desperately craves.
Enthusiasm has waned as Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis battle it out for the title of MAGA King, splitting Republicans into two camps. Voters and big-money donors have seemingly grown tired of the rantings of a madman and his equally insane acolytes.
