CANCEL: Someone needs to put Fox News out of our misery already

No, really, it totally is!
We’re all legitimately old enough to remember that’s how the Republican Party did stuff pre-2015.
Like, Fox “News” existed and said a lot of weak stuff, but it wasn’t the constant 24-hour fear-sharting rage fest it became after Donald Trump flung his full Depends all over our political norms.
I’ve been on Twitter since June 2009 and I’m here to tell you that at no point during the 2012 presidential campaign did a single Mitt Romney supporter rise from the depths of a Macedonian bot farm to call me a “libturd” while spewing Russian propaganda or threaten to murder me.
But then Trump and Fox created their unholy alliance, and here we are.
So who pulls the plug on Fox before more Americans die?
Can it just be disappeared from the airwaves like the PAX Network?
The Fox rhetoric has a body count, plain and simple. Between the deliberate COVID-19 propaganda and the lies around January 6th, the talking hate-heads have plenty of blood on their greased palms.
Rupert Murdoch is as much of a greedy opportunistic compromised POS Putin Puppet as Donald Trump, which is how we got to Tucker Carlson editing the January 6th footage into the “MAGA good parts version” showing some empty hallways and other people running ahead of Josh Hawley.
But thankfully, we also got the gift that is the Dominion Voting Systems defamation lawsuit against Fox, which has revealed all kinds of truthery regarding the Fox f*ckery.
Not that the Fox audience will ever hear about Tucker’s Trump texts or any other actual truths surrounding January 6th or the 2020 election. They’d probably say this was a deep fake.
I hate the internet.
But the Fox lies also have been trickling down to conservative talk radio for nearly eight full years now, too.
It’s unlikely any of those hosts are willing to discuss the truths shared in the Dominion lawsuit, which would of course require acknowledging Trump lost the 2020 election.
That just won’t fly with extreme right-wing radio hosts like Lars Larson or Hugh Hewitt, whose dumb alliterative names are the least worst things about them.
In fact, those mediocre MAGA men not only understand the truth, but they’ll also keep modeling themselves after Terrible Tuckems and Hateful Hannity and keep right on lying to their audience.
There’s also the growing demographic of Spanish conservative media in states such as Florida, California, Texas, and even here in the white haven of Portland, Oregon.
Panic sounds more panicky when you have a host raging against socialism in another language.
Meanwhile, your intrepid contributor, who had a great five-year run as an alternative radio DJ here in Portland and could also helm one hell of a political talk show, is out here still waiting for her big break.
It’s fine, I can watch my cats eat my last four dollars.
As long as these lies have a platform on Fox, things will only get worse as they spread more propaganda to divert from Dominion, keeping the worst willfully obtuse voting base in history in the dark while continuing to churn them up for ratings and extra zeroes in their own bank accounts.
