GOP BATTLE: Trump’s bullying of DeSantis is working just the way he wants it

SHOWDOWN: Trump trolls DeSantis in Iowa as 2024 race to the bottom continues

The only thing Donald Trump truly excels at is bullying anyone he perceives as a threat.

If he can make them seem more ridiculous than he is to his dwindling MAGA base, that’s a win for him.

It’s genuinely difficult to out-bully a bully, which is how we got to this “If You Can’t Beat Him, Join Him” era where informed and respectful political discourse has been superseded by a sick burn.

Knowing that Trump literally sat around with the rest of his personal Dipshit Brigade to come up with new nicknames for completely useless Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is to know just how far from any kind of normal we are.

The best they could come up with is “Ron DeSanctimonious,” which is truly spot-on while also being yet another example of Trump’s projection language, as are all of his other nicknames for his ever-increasing Enemies List.

DeSantis really has zero game when it comes to standing up to Trump, and that allows the Orange Menace to steamroll over him again and again.

DeathSantis hasn’t even officially declared himself as a candidate for 2024, probably because he’s terrified of what Trump will say about him next.

And Reichstag Ron has also suffered a huge drop in recent polls, indicating that he’d lose bigly to Trump in a primary battle.

Monmouth University’s Republican primary poll shows a 15-point gain for Trump since December, while DeSantis has dropped 12 points.

Reports indicate that the lack of state GOP support for Gov. “Don’t Say Gay” Floridaman is due to his recent public displays of pure weakness.

Some in the GOP grumble that Ron isn’t “ready” to be the Commander-in-Chief, but compared to Trump’s track record, he’s literally more experienced because at least he currently holds a government job.

While I’ll still hold out hope that neither of them becomes the 2024 GOP nominee and that we’ll have something that looks like a new normalcy in political discourse again, Trump will continue to own DeSantis.
