LURID: Former Fox producer's lawsuit has some seriously salacious sound bytes

Fox’s saga didn’t end with the Dominion settlement, as one former producer’s lurid disclosures could be putting major pressure on the network.

Though America held its collective breath as Dominion Voting Systems moved forward with a lawsuit against the preeminent right-wing news network — and while the case didn’t exactly fizzle, a settlement hours after jury selection was admittedly a bit anti-climactic.

This is different, though.

Abby Grossberg decided she wasn’t going along with the narrative network attorneys were directing, and dropped a lawsuit, alleging, among other things, a hostile working environment.

While there’s no official word, Tucker Carlson may be a casualty of her lawsuit.

Grossberg was working on Carlson’s show when she filed her case (she’s been fired since), and her allegations against him and others are stunning.

Among other things, she says she has an audio clip of Carlson defending arranged marriages between adults and children.

“The rapist in this case”, he reportedly says, “has made a lifelong commitment to live and take care of the [child victim].”

The same audio clip, she says, features him responding to a story about 14-year-old girls experimenting sexually at his daughter’s boarding school, saying, “I would love that scenario if it wasn’t my daughter.”

Whether or not Grossberg’s case is the reason Carlson is no longer an employee of Fox News, and whether or not they influenced the network’s decision to settle with Dominion instead of airing this all in court, they’re significant.

Laid off along with Carlson was producer Justin Wells, who also features prominently in Grossberg’s lawsuit, for such interactions as the one where he called her into his office to ask whether her former boss, Maria Bartiromo, was sleeping with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, suggesting another female employee should have sex with Elon Musk to secure an exclusive interview, and otherwise engaged in sexually harassing behavior.

Her initial complaint lays out a long list of misogynistic, antisemitic, and other creepy comments and behaviors, such as another Fox journalist, Alexander McCaskill, quizzing her about the location of her tattoos and saying he thought it was illegal for Jewish people to be tattooed.

Before the Dominion case was settled, Grossberg and her attorney (you can see him explain in a clip below) alleged that the network was withholding evidence, including some of the audio clips.

How do we know Fox is concerned about what Grossberg is sharing?

Among other things, they filed a motion to seal early in the case, arguing that the case contained attorney-client privileged material and work product information.

Last week, this became even more serious, when Grossberg shared that a defunct work phone still in her possession was accessible to tech experts, who were able to recover additional recordings and other files, according to NBC.

She doesn’t seem to be done sharing, either, and her case hits the courtroom for a pretrial conference on June 15th.
