HEAT STROKE: How an NBA bet can humiliate Ron DeSantis
The Democratic Governor of Colorado has challenged his Republican counterpart from Florida to a “friendly” wager over the NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat.
Jared Polis, the first openly gay and Jewish man to be elected Colorado’s Governor, tweeted a bet to Florida’s Ron “I Hate Everything That Makes Other People Happy” DeSantis on Tuesday night that also puts Disney World into play.
Now that the Florida Fascist is running for President (which is already not going well), the Colorado Cool Kid has officially thrown down the kind of national gauntlet we often see between governors over sportsball.
However, this one comes with the kind of crippling consequences that could bring down an entire state’s tourism structure while bolstering another’s.
Polis used the opportunity to remind everyone about the mishegoss between the Meatball and the Mouse House.
“Calling @GovRonDeSantis and @Disney on a friendly wager,” Polis tweeted on Tuesday. “If the @nuggets win the finals against the @MiamiHEAT, Disney World will move to Colorado, the ACTUAL happiest place on earth to do business, have fun, and be free! #ColoradoForAll
That sound you just heard was a mic drop echoing through the Rockies.
While the tweet might be a joke — it’s (Rocky Mountain) highly unlikely Disney would move its operations to a snowy state — points to Polis for another proper poke at the putrid Pensacola putz.
Along with his other terrible traits, DuhSantis is currently locked in a Florida slap-fight with Disney over the manufactured “Go Woke Go Broke” MAGA motto and other arbitrary anti-human state laws.
(I contend MAGA still can’t properly define “woke,” which has now lost all of its original meaning like all things appropriated from Black culture by mediocre white men.)
Polis has also dragged the anti-LGBTQ+ Governor Gitmo’s ridiculous “Don’t Say Gay” bill as well as the ever-growing list of books being banned because Floriduh.
Let’s see if Commander Coward takes the NBA bet or ignores it like everything else he doesn’t like.
