LORDY: Tapes emerge that could send Trump to jail
Donald Trump admitted he held onto a classified Pentagon document about a potential attack on Iran, according to a new audio recording obtained by federal prosecutors that could send him to jail.
First shared exclusively on Wednesday by CNN, the tape captures a July 2021 meeting held at Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey and essentially proves Five Finger Discount Donny understood he had taken classified materials from the White House.
It’s a key piece of evidence for DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into those classified documents found at Trump’s Florida compound, Mar-a-Lago.
The MAGA Motormouth’s comments also suggest he was willing to share the information with anyone while also being aware of the limits of his ability to declassify records.
Present at the meeting were a few of Trump’s former aides, including communications specialist Margo Martin, as well as two ghostwriters working on an autobiography of Trump’s former Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows.
While Meadows himself wasn’t in attendance, a passage from the autobiography includes an account of what appears to be the same meeting.
Trump “recalls a four-page report typed up by (Trump’s former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) Mark Milley himself,” the passage reads.
“It contained the general’s own plan to attack Iran, deploying massive numbers of troops, something he urged Trump to do more than once during his presidency.”
None of the attendees had the proper security clearance to hear any of that because, of course, they didn’t.
CNN reported that Gen. Milley has already met with DOJ investigators, making him one of the highest-ranking national security officials from Trump’s administration to cooperate with the special counsel.
Since we were denied a handcuffed perp walk in New York’s jail, maybe we’ll get one in DC soon, please?

Of course he is though… was there ever any doubt? I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s video of him discussing classified intelligence with Saudis in Bedminster.
