RELIEVED: Pro wrestler cleared in paternity of Lauren Boebert

The former professional wrestler alleged to be the father of a gun-loving Colorado Representative just dodged a bullet.

Stan Lane’s DNA results are in, and he has released a statement refuting the longstanding claims that he fathered Representative Lauren Boebert during a short affair with her mother.

He says that this claim has tarnished his reputation and caused stress to his family.

Lane had already made the effort once to prove that he wasn’t related to Boebert after her mother sought child support from him.

Unfortunately, the worker who processed that years-ago DNA test was later prosecuted for falsifying results for pay, leaving all the comparisons he’d ever processed open to question.

Now, he’s had another test done, and this time the results are definitive, and Lane says he’s accepted Boebert’s apologies and is considering the matter settled.

He released a statement addressing the claims and the final result. He said, according to PW Insider:

“In spite of the court verdict, the mother of the child – who turned out to be Congresswoman Lauren Boebert – her mother has continued to stick to her original claim….Once we both reviewed the results Lauren and I agreed that this matter is settled, and I accepted Lauren’s apology on behalf of herself and her mother.”

He says that if Boebert continues to try to find her biological father, he wishes her the best in that pursuit.

Boebert has been roundly criticized for touting what she and her party deem to be “family values” — including a focus on the importance of (opposite-sex) marriage — since she and her own family have not adhered to these roles as closely as she seems to expect of others.

Boebert has also praised her teenage son’s impregnation of an underaged girl, expected to make her a grandma before she’s 37 years old, is currently in the midst of a divorce, and is allegedly dating a Christian white nationalist rock artist, despite still being married.

She has confirmed the former pro wrestler’s statement about the DNA results, joking that the Toby Keith song “Who’s Your Daddy” has a whole new meaning to her now that she’s got evidence it isn’t the man she was always told — but she also denied ever making that claim herself, according to the Daily Beast.
