SUNSHINE: Trump indicted in Florida federal court on espionage act charges

The twice-impeached ex-president just got charged in Florida with seven counts on a trio of grave charges for keeping sensitive national defense documents and trying to cover it up while under federal investigation.

As many predicted Wednesday, Donald Trump has been indicted for the second time.

He is charged with Willful Retention of National Defense Information, conspiracy to Obstruct Justice, and Making False Statements.

Trump’s own lawyer Jim Trusty confirmed the indictment on CNN, which is related to the Department of Justice Special Counsel’s investigation into the removal of classified documents from the White House.

Trump must appear in the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. federal courthouse in Miami, Florida on Tuesday at 3 pm Eastern time to be arraigned and hear the reading of the seven counts in his indictment.

The case will be tried in the Southern District of Florida in front of widely panned Trump-appointed Judge Aileen Cannon, whose earlier rulings on a Special Master were overturned by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

While the indictments remained sealed at press time, the counts for willful retention of documents are most likely related to Trump’s violation of the Espionage Act.

Donny “But I Already Have 34 Indictments” took to Truth Social to both announce and then spin his latest legal lapse by blaming it on “the corrupt Biden administration.”

1850 boxes? Paper-thin doors? OK, Donny Projection Language.

Writing things in all caps doesn’t make them true, even in Florida.

Sad!

Trump kept it going, posting a rambling four-minute video blaming the indictment “hoax” on Hillary Clinton.

Twitter was soaking up the schadenfreude while still digesting the news that Pat Robertson died.

A day like today could almost make this atheist believe there’s a God.

Take your talents to South Beach, everyone:

Almost.
