Two witnesses are now joined by a third, “Joan Doe,” who said in court documents that:

“In the 1994-95 school year, I was told by the plaintiff in Jane Doe v. Trump and Epstein (1:16-cv-04642, SDNY) that the plaintiff was subject to sexual contact by the Defendants at parties in New York City during the summer of 1994,

Trump’s camp has immediately denied all the accusation and denied all connection to Epstein, even though he told New York magazine in 2002 that “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Epstein’s brother, Mark, also testified that “Trump flew on Jeffrey’s private jet at least once and records indicate that Trump called Epstein twice in November of 2004.”

When Epstein was asked if he had ever “socialized” with Donald Trump with underage girls, Epstein plead the Fifth.

Q. Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?
A: Though I’d like to answer that question, at least today I’m going to have to assert my Fifth, Sixth, and 14th Amendment rights, sir.

Epstein eventually recieved a slap on the wrist – 13 months in prison and registration as a sex offender – for decades of abuse: “according to law-enforcement officials and alleged victims, between the years 1998 and 2007—and possibly even earlier—he ran a particularly vile pyramid scheme that involved paying minors around $200 at a time to perform sexual massages nearly every day and then recruit even younger girls to do the same. (“The more you do, the more you are paid,” one said.) During these massages, girls as young as 13 told police they were instructed to get undressed. Epstein would masturbate or penetrate them, they said—with his finger, or a vibrator, or his allegedly egg-shaped penis.”

While none of that is concrete evidence, Trump’s fondness for “younger” women is well-known. He sexualized his infant daughter by wondering if she would grow up to have her mother’s breasts, commented on a twelve-year-old Paris Hilton’s “beauty” before admitting he had watched her sex tape (he’s also known her since her infancy), and constantly praises his daughter Ivanka for her looks.

To put it in words that Trump would understand: many people, tremendous people are saying these allegations could be true.

In classic behavior that will be familiar to anyone who spends ten minutes online, this – we’d like to remind you – political candidate – then attacked Nuzzi in a sadly predictable and utterly horrendous fashion.

This is the quality of men that the Republican Party thinks are acceptable candidates for political office, even one as minor as a town committee. The casualness with which he calls for sexual violence against Ms. Nuzzi, the insistence with which he promotes absurd conspiracy theories, the lack of relevancy of any of the statements to each other or to reality, the gratuitous Islamophobia are all the hallmarks of the Trump Man, as Krawitz’s personal facebook page clearly shows he is. The Trump Man deals in ignorance and worships violence, exists in a fantasy of his own creation, entirely unrestricted by the petty demands of truth or basic civility.

The loudest Trump supporters are barbarians at their most primitive, the antithesis of five thousand years of human civilization. So insecure in their fragile egos and the victim of financial forces too complex for their uneducated brains to comprehend, they lash out at the things they can recognize and fear – the independent woman, the refugee, the immigrant, the liberal.

The biggest danger, however, is allowing this kind of behavior to become normalized. Only three in a hundred rapists in America will ever see justice; the vast majority of sexual assaults go unreported out of fear that nothing will be done. It is no joking matter; even the idle tweet must be taken seriously and responded to with appropriate diligence.

Every rape threat, no matter how minor, that goes without acknowledgement of the heinous crime it represents is another win for rape culture in the United States. Our perpetuation of a culture of daily harassment and violence against half of our population is an unforgivable injustice and is a shame that should weigh heavily on the hearts of every American.

On April 11, 2015, a woman reported to the police that she had been at a party where she found herself in a room with an unknown man who had sex with her, despite repeated protestations; not only was she too intoxicated to give consent, she was actively pleading with her rapist to stop and desperately trying to push him away. She went to the hospital where a nurse noted that she had a laceration on her genitals. Signs of violence on a purported victim’s genitals are used by forensic pathologists as evidence to support charges of rape [link contains graphic images].

Since then, DNA evidence has conclusively proven that the woman and Enochs had sex, and video evidence has established that Enochs followed her into a room at the party and then shut the door. No one else entered the room during the duration of the assault, leaving the woman helpless as she was brutally assaulted to the point of injury.

A second woman has come forward to press charges against Enochs for raping her while she was unconscious, which her sorority sisters told her about after the fact. She suffered from pelvic pain for several days after the incident which led her to seek treatment at a hospital. Fortunately neither woman has suffered long term physical injuries, but there is no denying the extreme damages from the emotional and psychological trauma that Enochs caused these women.

Survivors of sexual assault face serious psychological consequences, which are a direct extension of the harm the perpetrator commits against them. Survivors are at an increased risk for depression, PTSD, sleep disorders, eating disorders, dissociation, self harm, substance abuse, and suicide. We must see that the assaults Enochs committed go beyond a single night of terror for his victims and reach far into their futures, with repercussions that touch the most vital pieces of a woman’s identity, empowerment, and mental health.

Enochs, however, does not have to face the repercussions of his savage attacks thanks to an overly lenient judge who cared more about helping a young white man than ensuring the proper carriage of justice in his courtroom. The judge cited Enochs age as a reason for letting him plead guilty to a misdemeanor instead of a felony, despite clear evidence that his actions were more than misdemeanor offense. Pre-trial, Enochs only spent a single night in jail before using his financially privileged situation to immediately post his $20,000 bail.

Only three in a hundred rapists in America will ever see justice for their crimes – and it’s clear that the justice system is heavily biased against the survivors of these heinous assaults and designed to let white men walk free for their crimes. Enochs is yet another disgusting, barbaric young man, with no regard for the devastating consequences of his actions. Spread his shame, and spread the word of the massive miscarriages of justice that are inflicted on American women every day. Rape culture is very real, and unless we open our eyes and see each case like this as evidence of its reality, these crimes will continue to occur as often as they do – every two minutes, in fact.

The lack of respect that the Republican Party shows for women and women’s right’s is simply unfathomable. “I fought in the military for that freedom…and for all the women who were raped in the military” was the phrase which prompted snickers from the right side of the aisle, and it’s atrocious that someone claiming to represent a constituency would find such a serious subject amusing. Over 26,000 military service members are raped every year, and it is shameful that one would make light of such widespread trauma, especially by those willing to give their lives to defend our nation.
