“Donald seriously, you know all about sexual predators and things like that….” says Stern as his aide chimes in “you are one!” Trump proudly smiles and nods, mouthing “yup.” In this “boys club” environment, the way both Stern and Trump respond shows that they think it’s something to be proud of, that their hypermasculine “conquests” of women, that forcing themselves on their unwilling prey is a commendable act that real “alpha males” do.

It’s an admission as jarring as the statements that Trump made on a bus in 2005 to Entertainment Tonight’s Billy Bush, in which he describes how he assaults women: by grabbing them, forcing them to kiss him and groping their genitals. Those boasts match up perfectly with the behavior that numerous women, including makeup artist Jill Harth and PEOPLE Magazine reporter Natasha Stoynoff, have described in their accounts of Trump’s assaults on their person.

Donald Trump has been assaulting women for decades, and clearly believes that he is entitled to molest and assault women as a privilege that accompanies being a rich and influential white male. Trump is the living manifestation of rape culture and white privilege rolled into one, and his candidacy for the Presidency is a slap in the face to the millions of women who are assaulted in the United States each and every week. The American people must take a stand against this kind of toxic masculinity and stand up for the rights of women by electing Hillary Clinton in a landslide the likes of which our nation has never seen before.
