STRANGE BREADFELLOWS: Former Democratic Governor and ex-Trump adviser spotted together at NYC hotspot

Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) and Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager were seen leaving Manhattan’s Il Postino restaurant around 10:30 Monday night.

What possible reason could, or would, a disgraced former Governor and former employee of the disgraced ex-President have for enjoying a late-night nosh?

Watch the video below, but we have no idea either.

Conway was all smiles for the camera, as was her companion, waving goodbye to each other as the “alternative facts” truth slayer entered a chauffeur driven blacked out SUV, the New York Post showed.

It’s been a little over a year since the ex-Governor resigned in shameless disgrace after allegations of sexual harassment dominated the headlines – prompting calls for his removal from office.

A steep and rapid fall from grace for the man, who just a year prior, was praised for his “handling” of the coronavirus pandemic during its peak.

“Wasting energy on distractions is the last thing that state government should be doing, I cannot be the cause of that,” the then-Governor said in a less than humble resignation statement.

The best way I can help now is if I step aside and let government get back to government, and therefore that’s what I’ll do.

A frequent and vocal critic of Donald Trump, Cuomo’s meeting with one of the former President’s fiercest allies raises more than a few questions and eyebrows.

Conway, wife of longtime Republican operative turned never-Trumper George Conway, has been credited with helping her boss slither his way into the Oval Office while managing his 2016 campaign.

While serving as a senior advisor to the newly-elected President, Kellyanne became infamously known for her comment on MSNBC’s Meet the Press, where she attempted to deflect from brazen, and debunked exaggerations made about the size of the inauguration.

“You’re saying it’s a falsehood and Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that,” she told host Chuck Todd. “Alternative facts are not facts. They are falsehoods,” Todd countered, according to Axios.

“If we’re going to keep referring to the press secretary in those types of terms I think we’re going to have to rethink our relationship here.”

Conway was deposed by the January 6th Committee investigating Donald Trump’s role in facilitating the Capitol attack in 2021.

Though she left her cushy gig at the White House nearly three months before the November election, the former senior aide confirmed that Trump knew he was the loser in the race against President-elect Joe Biden.

“Conway remained an aide to the former president and urged him to call off his supporters attempting to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory,” The NY Post wrote.

Occupy Democrats reported three weeks ago, that the MAGAish Republican was hired by the Republican National Committee (NRC), after the GOP’s disappointing 2022 midterm performance. In the hopes of turning the party’s well-earned bad political luck around.

While neither Cuomo nor Conway has commented on the reason for their Monday night meet-up, one thing is certain – when it comes to power, politic, and hunger for attention, the bottom of the barrel makes for interesting companions.

The meet-up comes at a curious time considering just hours before Trump was referred by the House Select Committee on four criminal charges related to evidence gathered during its probe of the violent attack on the Capitol.

Then again, a Governor accused of sexual harassment, meeting with the former adviser to an ex-President currently facing multiple allegations of sexual assault perhaps isn’t so unbelievable after all.
