RATINGS: Trump's latest loss to Biden happened live on CNN

President Joe Biden beat Donald Trump like a drum with the only kind of numbers the ex-TV game show host truly cares about: better ratings.

CNN’s unpopular decision to air Trump’s live Town Hall Wednesday night handed the troubled news network a much-needed boost in viewership.

A total audience of 3.308 million people tuned into Trump’s 70-minute liefest, according to ratings reports. But that low-energy turnout once again put Trump a close second behind legitimately elected Joe Biden.

Despite bragging on Truth Social that his numbers were “Sky High,” the Former Guy just couldn’t match the public’s enthusiasm for his arch-enemy, Dark Brandon.

“People are criticizing CNN for giving me a Forum to tell the TRUTH. I believe it was a very smart thing that they did, with Sky High Ratings that they haven’t seen in a very long time,” Trump falsely bloviated on his federally investigated social platform.

“It was by far the biggest Show of the night, the week, and the month!”

(No, I don’t get the random capitalization and never have, except that he’s dumb and has tiny fat thumbs)

According to a network memo, the Trump Town Hall was “2nd among total viewers, closely behind CNN’s 2020 Joe Biden Town Hall (9/17/20, 7:59p-9:15p; 3.465 million).”

No word on whether Trump called Brad Raffensperger to order him to find 157,000 extra viewers, however.

Chief Executive Chris “I’ve Sure Been” Licht was one of the CNN-men defending the free Trump publicity, Salon reported on Friday.

In an editorial meeting with staffers Thursday morning, Licht allowed that covering Trump is “sticky and messy” but justified the decision (to abandon all ethics and morals for higher ratings) that by claiming “America was served very well by what we did last night.”

Was it, now? Tell us how “very well served” E. Jean Carroll was by allowing Trump to defame her further.

CNN host and disappointed stepdad Anderson “Sure, I’ll Stay” Cooper did some serious gaslighting of his viewers, looking earnestly into the camera while asking if they really understood what their problem is.

“Do you think staying in your silo and only listening to people you agree with is going to make that person go away?” Cooper condescended at one point.

Hoo boy, that was the very wrongest take, Coop.

The MSM is literally begging for help in covering a criminal rapist who shouldn’t be allowed to run for dog catcher, let alone President.

But they’ve clearly learned absolutely nothing since 2016.

The best way to cover Trump is by using all of his own words against him.

Here is a quick primer from someone unafraid of asking Trump truth-based questions he doesn’t like, CNN:

  • If Donald Trump is still breathing, he’s lying.
  • If a sentence includes the phrase “Trump says,” whatever follows is a lie
  • When you’re about to share a clip of Donald Trump, front-sell it by telling your viewers that they are about to witness Donald Trump lying
  • When you run the clip of Donald Trump lying, run a chyron that says DONALD TRUMP IS LYING ABOUT [fill in the current topic he’s lying about and include context]
  • When you back sell that clip, explain what Donald Trump lied about by telling the truth
  • Repeat every day until it becomes second nature for you to tell the truth about Donald Trump’s lies
  • Do this until he’s no longer someone you have to report on

It’s not impossible to hold Trump accountable.

You just have to fight back with the facts he hates.

IT WORKED FOR ME.

Let’s see Trump show up in front of a crowd of Democrats and Independents and see what he tries to get away with then, Chris Licht.

Maybe people will actually come back to CNN.
