NEW GRIFT: Melania Trump and her PAC-paid “speaking engagements”
The same woman who didn’t care about being First Lady is now making plenty of money off of her husband’s former job.
Melania Trump did essentially nothing during her four years of forced captivity at the White House except scorch the Rose Garden to reflect her inner misery.
But now Trump’s third emotionally abused wife is happy to accept six-figure payments to appear anywhere she’s told to go.
According to a new report from the New York Times, a Donald Trump-backed super PAC paid Melania $155,000 for a speaking engagement in late 2021.
Maggie Haberman and Shane Goldmacher write in the article that the payment is “unusual” because it is “rare for the spouse of a potential presidential candidate to be paid directly by a campaign or an outside group affiliated with the candidate.”
(Quick aside, please pick any lane and then stay there until you retire, Maggie.)
The super-PAC, called “Make America Great Again, Again” (MAGAA? Seems right, like the official sound of a dying movement) showed two payments, for $125,000 and $30,000, to ‘Designer’s Management Agency,’ which lists Melania as a client on its website.
And that’s just the tip of the grift-berg — because it’s far from the first time the former faux First Lady has been paid by a PAC backing her indicted spouse.
The Times reports that Melania’s stylist was also paid $132,000 by a different Trump-related grift-PAC, Save America.
You might recall Donny 71 Indictments using the Save America PAC as his own personal piggy bank after losing the 2020 election.
For that particular grift, the shuffling game of Three Card Monte in a bad suit made false claims of widespread election fraud.
As a result, Grabby Grifty McGrifterson received hundreds of thousands in small-dollar contributions from supporters who wanted to help prevent the peaceful transfer of power.
