SALUTE: Trump and DeSantis both flipped off by crowd at Iowa college football game

Iowa

If you love the culture and feel of small college towns, especially on football Saturdays, then Aimes, Iowa, was the place to be this weekend, especially if you’re running for president.

Both Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis found room to be in the same stadium Saturday to watch a heated rivalry as Iowa State of the Big 12 faced off against the University of Iowa of the B1G-10 (Enjoy having traditional conferences now as they’ll be desecrated next year.)

For those who care, Iowa beat Iowa State 20-13.

But for those who also care about who will emerge victorious in the Iowa caucuses, there was an opportunity to register their support for a candidate (or the lack of it) by either booing or cheering.

Of course, both candidates were met with a mix of cheers and boos.

As Trump entered, it was easy to hear both the cheers and boos:

If you were unaware of how pro-Trump the Right Side Broadcasting Network is, here is a humiliating example of the lengths that they’re willing to go to protect their guy. They altered the audio to hide the boos!

As for Ron DeSantis? I couldn’t find a video of him being booed, but I found something worse. We bring you a picture of one guy taking the time to flip the bird at DeSantis from behind while everyone else utterly ignores him, watching the game.

But if you really want to see a guy get “the bird” up close and personal, where he would be looking right at it, we have to return to Trump.

Every politician gets booed, and the bird and all that. What makes this picture so delicious is that Trump is the most thin-skinned politician in history.

You know he sees those guys. And you know it bothers him deeply.

Trump believes he’s universally loved except by horrible “thugs” and conspirators in Washington in the process of prosecuting him.

When good, regular people like us fail to appreciate his greatness, it just eats at him.

Speaking of eating and things that humiliate Trump, this is the guy who is still upset that he got a bowl of mashed potatoes on his head as a seven-year-old.

0He hasn’t developed much further than that now that he’s 77, and you know those one-finger salutes just ate him up.
